Melvyn Tan held a concert in Esplane in Jan 2011.
1. I suggest Citizenship of NS defaulter who is too old to do NS be terminated.
Money to some family is meaningless or peanuts.
2. All defaulter shall be jailed, disregard to their age and despite their citizenship terminated or to be terminated after serving jail.
3.This would be a big joke that NS guy get jailed for AWOL for xx weeks or days, but not defaulting 2 years NS at all!
3A, Defaulter shall be trial by Court Martial, beside Civil Court trail.
SAF guys who commite offences sometimes have to face two trials.
Why not NS defaulter?

(a) point out that Melvyn Tan's punishment was determined by the civil
court. He was treated the same as other NS defaulters with similar
circumstances.Aside from the $3,000 fine, Melvyn Tan had to forfeit his
bond of $30,000, which was put up by his parents when he went to London
for his studies. The bond quantum has since been raised to $75,000 or 50%
of the gross annual income of both parents, whichever is higher. However,

it's sad coming back to singapore as a foreigner. To visit your own family and friends, the place where you had your best memories...sad to come back as a foreigner. But who knows? One day this place becomes so crowded and it doesn't feel like home anymore, I may switch over to my adopted country.

Talk aboutforeign talent why not attract people like hans zimmer who is the brains of great soundtracks from lionking, gladiator and king arthur, the guy is better than Melvyn Tan in a sense he never has a formal music education..talk about FT..look at the soundtrack this is what FT really is and SG can never has cause they are paper conscious
