unlike elsewhere, in sg, our account looks like this;
Debit (from account of the average man) Credit
retirement cost from salary from our job
basic healthcare from our job
children's education funded from our job
housing still from our job
so when the crisis crunch comes, it is okay to move (our job) to the other side of the balance sheet as unlike elsewhere there is unemployment benefits. i guess i look the most objective with this one

forget about the s'pore dream, forget about the swiss standard. the 4 items are luxury items we have to shoulder. oh or is it having a guaranteed stable job when we need to shoulder all these is a luxury instead, or is it not? there are messages on tv implying at least we have food to eat everyday..many people are still doing well or are they? oohhh...the media is really disrupting my thoughts.. i'm getting emotional, how to be objective enough to cast a vote i feel right?... Plans to help older low-wage workers
SINGAPORE: A workgroup set up by government feedback portal REACH, which looked into manpower issues, has recommended better support programmes for low-income workers who are above 65 years old.
It recommended an unemployment credit, in which a worker who has been laid off can take a loan from his Central Provident Fund (CPF) account for three months.
The loan amount would be determined by the last-drawn salary of the worker, and would be subject to a cap of three months.
To fund the scheme, workers would contribute one per cent of their monthly income. The government would co-fund the scheme by making the same amount of contribution.
Those earning below S$1,000 may be exempted from contribution, with the government paying the full amount into the account.

changi also must set up a jail for over 65 who can't return loan borrowed from their own cpf because nobody want to employ them to give them the salary to pay.
