Agreed. =) And of course, being political... like office politics...

because it doesnt seem that we care. thats something real sad.
those above their 40s are actually very happy right now because their properties are increasing in value every other day... cares only about their properties.... they will eventually regret it only when their children cant find jobs... cant have a home of their own. and have to depend on them till old age.
Too late by then.
kk u all win. argue also no use. we are jus a citizen.
wat we can do is vote vote vote

hmm. i have no issues with importing FTs for "specialised" jobs such as cleaners, construction workers.
but try take a look at the foreigners on buses, mrt. many of them don't seems to be cleaners and labourers leh.
they look more like office workers, and that is certainly not a "dirty job that singaporeans shunt"

you may not even be given a chance to vote, the so called walk over.
To the PAP govt, lower and some lower middle class singaporeans are obselete, no more useful and certainly time to throw away. So, here come the new foreigners make as new singapore citizens, being sworn under the the Majulah Singapura, Majulah PAP and Majulah to themselves. With these new breed sworn under a PAP minister, whatever, or whoever you vote is not going to be a concern in near future.
Singaporeans, stop bluffing yourself, you are invaded
韩飞官 Maybe I should go die then trying to help my fellow Singaporeans who are out there suffering. There have seen people who come seek help out of genuine issue where those old couples are so poor and out of jobs that the PUB want to cut their power supply any time. At least I'm willing to stand up to fight against PAP and rather hide myself in front of the computer and say another Singaporeans are kia si and kiasu.
As for Rockstar, I only can say that if you are willing to vote and spread the word of facts to the people around you, they will see the problem and start changing their views. By the way is my relative that is from Australia not me. :) I just stay in Singapore and continue to fight on for the next generation of Singaporean.
If I offended anyone, I apologized but this world works like a mirror
so the natives sing matilah singapura
and
the new citizens sing majulah singapura....

this is apparantly the trend.
BINGO!
All future service related industries will be largely dominated by cheaper foreigns....cost cutting has never been so urgent....
it is still win for the ruling party with increase levy....either way, u lose...
u can shun the dirty jobs...but they will take it and make a new home
Singaporeans would rather wait for food to be served on the table than to serve....
now they want to choose the most educated and local to serve them....as they feel indignant with the food served by foreigns as "untouchable"...
very sad to say....
its a huge price to pay

Yeh gd idea dude, since you were in Oz, why didnt you call the singaporeans to come back and make some laksa, provide better service? Dickhead.
why call the singaporean in australia come home and make laksa? I am happy with what is going on here, they are happy with what is going on there. But sometimes I pity them, they do jobs that the oz don't want to do, work longer hr, just like the china men and indian immigrants in singapore.
The only difference is here in singapore you have only the PAP to blame. In oz, you blame the howard government, then the nice man Rubb, now you can blame another woman, besides pauline hanson (not sure of the spelling). But anything changed?? micro or macro?
you sure learn a lot about names calling from the oz...hahaha

singaporean speak english, chinese, malay, and tamil, not just english. understand this, a lot of aunties and uncles don't even speak english at all.
shall i call the ARISTOCRATIC Singaporeans? they believed they are the most educated and deserved to lick their top bosses boots to claim the BLUE EYE BOY/ GAL prize...and those of the same rank as them are but lacking in servitude and not knowing what their bosses want and how to tickle their toes....
so they demand the same or worse from those around and lower i.e. asiatic foreigners..
pathetic Sgs...
luckily my teachers not PRC

that is if you believe you were evolved from the apes. with more and more people, there is not much space left for the monkey in singapore, even in the zoo, monkey is not much of attraction. people are looking for pengium or polar bear.

you support PAP or oppose PAP?
You oppose PAP, I support you.

where your great great....great grandparents came from only define your ethnicity and your original culture, not singaporean!
Singapore came into existence only in 9 August 1965. Before that, it was known as temasek, part of Sumatra Sriyijaya, then it was part of the sultanate of johore, later it was just a colony of the brits. when singapore became independent, many english educated chose to be british subject, many chinese went back to china, malay went to johore malaysia. Even now there are still people leaving Singapore for australia, america, canada,
What matters are those who believe in the future of Singapore, those who stay after the brits left, after we got kick out of malaysia, those who came despite of the difficulties we have living in a small island, no resources......
if you dont believe in the future of singapore, you are not true blue singaporean by any definition.
i think to each his own views. Everyone has a right to air their opinions.
