I think people always say $ is not everything, but no $ can't buy anything leh....Rich people may not be happy but poor is sure unhappy leh....
A property is the most expensive investment for Singaporeans/PR.

Not really lar.
Property investment is all about cashflow and float money. Your income (not just salary ... all incomes) affects how much the bank allows you to borrow. Your equity affects your cashflow and the % of risk.
However I would not say it is the most expensive .... cars are more expensive. Bloody waste of $ sia cars. I still dun own a car btw.

no, some poors are also very happy, and most are hardworking workers, see them enjoying life more than the rich, family together at ECP, just get together, happy, BBQ, enjoy the sea, togetherness and the bliss of life. As for the rich, they alienated themselves from enjoying with the poor, husbands got mistress here and there, son, a spoilt kid who knows how to spend money only and wife who keep worrying about her image and fashion more than her family. As long as you hv a decent job, have bone in you, work hard, being poor can be very happy. Why make life difficult just becos of a few papers
The wheel of life changes in this sinful world, you can be rich now because you are poor and helpful the last time, but you can go back to poor again if you produce too much sin after being rich. Dun worry, everyone will get their chances to be rich and poor. But then, remember, whoever you are, life must come to an end, just in a different way and journey.

Rich or Poor....Being contented is most important of all....><"
not only contented, must also be considerate and helpful
People who are rich have good karma and done something good in their previous lives. People who are poor karma not very good....must do more good deeds.
HDB increase in price, and shrink in size.....
I went to the showflat of 4rm HDB, so small !!! Yet sooo expensive !!!
maybe you getting fatter, so seem small to you.

The Poor wanted to do must good deeds...but the rich govt keep taking their effort and money away for their own good, so how? They are in need of some good deed from govt then giving, cos got nothing to give already.

No lah, many people also feel that the sqft kana smaller and prices kept going up.
sad to say....all ventures and interventions have the profit objectives...
remember, their perception is that economics is defined as the study of no free lunch....what public provider?
anti-speculation measures are essential and good....one side maintain, the other side earn.....a "talk-left-walk-right" policy would be apt

With inflation set to be at 6 to 7 % next year, coupled with oil price expecting to go up to US$110 and growth to be on a straight line, many in those working class is going to dig deeper into their pockets.

The economy is growing, so the HDB flats will also be more expensive....
well, economy getting better? how many of your actually feel it?
GDP figures are not true reflection of that. influx or foreigners into singapore can drive GDP figures up. on the otherhand, with so many PR and foreigners, it also drive up consumption and cause inflations. inflation is something we all feel. this is heartlands problems.
no point asking for HDB cost price. but rather property should be curb in singapore. afterall we are a small country with limited land space. foreigners pruchase of property wether HDB or private should be cap.
I feel it, the ROI is quite good this year, even some may not be so good, but the dividend yields are fantastic.
