great??? my gosh, what so great than allowing a world terrorist to escape all the way to JB, what so great that only after thing happen, like slashing, killing, gang fighting, then they come into action..our police force are what people use to say, a non pre emptive force, only come into the picture when thing happens or let the thing happen first, then come into the picture...u see those gang fight, chopper throwing, knife slashing and so on....no police will dare to go in, only after it is over, they then come into the picture with nice uniform all belted up..police must be able to prevent crime, not just arrest crime ya -

last year, got one time, my place outside night club got a big fight, the police i called can somemore ask if the fight is over or not?? I told them over liao, immediately they arrive, took pictures, measure here and there, interview people here and there, then look look see see, pack up, go home.

in your pt of view, what should the man in blue do differently?
should they deploy the entire police force? cordon the whole area? locked down the whole area in a 5km radius? deploy dogs and etc, and try to track down maybe, 10-15 people who fight, cause maybe they bump into each other in a packed toilet?

If you notice our men or boys in blue, they are not proactive in their cause, meaning they alway wait for calls rather than do more petrolling and catch the crime on the spot, but i understand them, which blue boys or gals would want to get slashed in a middle of breaking a gang fight, they tends to arrive when the fight is over and someone get killed. Good Police are proactive rather than post active, they see a problem, arrest it before it become a crime, not waiting for crime to happen than arrive and do all the layman works. -
You just take the example of recent cuckoo boys gangs killing and fighting, if without all this fighting and killing, do the police and govt knows that our youngs are into gangsterism, i bet they dun even bother about it, govt more interested in IR and making money, while police more interested in reports, bonuses and paid rise.
