Dr Chee Soon Juan tussle with Ah Goh

"This set me thinking back to 2001 during the general elections when I was campaigning at a market in Jurong East with Dr Chee Soon Juan. Then-prime minister Goh Chok Tong had showed up to campaign for the PAP.
Dr Chee had raised the issue of Singapore's secretive US$10 billion loan-pledge to Suharto just before the corrupt Indonesian dictator was toppled in May 1998.
Upon seeing Mr Goh, Dr Chee asked him “Where is our money?” referring to the US$10 billion. Mr Goh, without saying a word, pointed to his pocket and waved us away, giving the impression that the money had landed there.
The media seized on the exchange to portray Dr Chee as gangster-like. MediaCorp's edited footage made it look like the SDP secretary-general was tailgating and harassing the prime minister with the loudhailer.

So Dr. Chee allowed the money to be loaned or he only found out after the money was loaned?How did he found out? And why didn't he find out earlier?
My guess is Dr. Chee knew about the deal and he allowed the money to be loaned and when things goes wrong, he took on the opportunity to take a swipe at the government.
You won't see the truth coming from Dr. Chee, there's always an agenda behind it. And I don't need to say more to affirm that.

1) one 'knowing' about the loan doesn't mean one have the authority to allow or disallow the loan
2) the us 5 billion loan was reported in newspapers on 1997 including st, whole singapore (if they read st) knows
3) here's the timeline
1997 - us 5 billion loan to indonesia (suharto was president then)
1998 - suharto resigned
2000 - suharto investigated for embezzling funds & corruption

do u ? have u met him ? i haven't.
we all know CSJ from the media, which is biased.
As a spectator, i would like to see CSJ could publicly debate w any one from PAP, showing live on tv. (man to man, no sueing after).
i can say no one from PAP have balls to do it.
if our sport man don't compete against other countries in asian games, how good can u fair ?
u can't judge using previous years achievement.
