TS is a sore loser, along with those who agrees to TS. I not PAP supporter but I fully support on the need of nuclear plant.
This is because:
1: We depend natural gas on Indonesia as well. What if they dun supply us natural gas?
2: Indonesia and Malaysia has plans on Nuclear plant as well. It is a trend and not following it, we will lose out and dont blame FT here and there. It is because we are slow.
3: Who say all nuclear plants got accident one? And who say all nuclear plant accident will be a disaster of the century? In Japan, there was a nuclear plant met with a relative small accident thanks to earthquake and no leak of such had happened. Just like there is a UK (etc) nuclear submarine got accident but that does not mean that the entire sea / ocean was polluted with nuclear dust. Nowadays, it is quite safe for it le. And we always got high standards one and we get those experience from FT. So no problem one.

yes vaporise instantly...if someone turns it into a bomb....but nuclear plant is safer than a nuclear bomb.it doesnt explode......just a fire spewing out tons of nuclear waste.....its alright all the people will be born with 2 heads and 8 legs....livin near it if a untraced leak happens...its safe ok..u wont die...just grow an extra head or 2 backbones or extra legs n a tail mebbe...

Dunno why some people cannot read news properly. Already stated that it won't be in mainland Singapore, and need 25km radius. Which island we have is 25km away from Singapore mainland?
Nuclear energy is going to be an important source of energy in the near future. Not only do gas fields come under threat during periods of instability, they will also run out eventually.
People have become smarter and introduced more safeguards and measures to prevent reactor meltdown and other accidents. Thinking that nuclear power plants today are still like Chernobyl (and of all examples, Soviet), reflect a lack of self-education. The internet is readily available for anyone to do his or her own research about safety in nuclear power plants.

a nuclear powerplant catches on fire.......say on pulau bukom which is the only place for sp-ares and other logistics......the oil refineries will be wiped out too...u cant have nuclear on pulau tekong as the logistics would be a nightmare as the parts are many n sensitive..........

shotgun are usually soft type, i hate a man with a shot one. If everyone use Nuclear, it will also run out, same same. If all use Nuclear, prices will go up base on demand of the raw material, same same.
Govt use Nuclear does not imply that prices of electricity or other will go down, the objectives is for them to earn more by doing less and produce and earn more, this is called as productivity, the cheaper, better and faster way of doing thing, Productivity for govt, not us. So stupid one
