LOL....
430 comments on this topic over at Yahoo News Thread discussion...
Brave guy, he surely does have balls of steel... still I wonder if it will drown out in the ruling party's rhetoric and ignorance of feedback
Depends how the results turn out to be. Might be freak election results, judging from the mass negative comments over at Yahoo....

Yeah, just like how in 2006, 30000 people can turn up at opposition rallies, but still....

Seriously, no one really gives a flying fuck to PAP in Singapore.
They are just a piece of shit that some people are forced to cross out on a ballot paper every five years.
That's all.
Why are we paying these Ministers like SM Goh to be filthy rich?
remind me why the fuck are we paying his salary again?
He seems to be oblivious to facts when he keeps on using the word if...if this, if that.
“You want to have a home. Who’s going to build your HDB flat?” said the Minister.
This is one fucking arrogant comment...are they threatening us?
Is it me or has the PAP been giving loads of fucked up comments lately?

To prevent corruption.
“If the majority feel they don’t belong here, then we have a fundamental problem. Then I would ask myself: What am I doing here? Why should I be working for people who don’t feel they belong over here?” asked SM Goh.
The corruption-preventing pay.
if i were there.....i would say to dude in charge that i need his clothes n carkeys
gct says:"what can i do to help you to ease the pain?"
does gct sound like a space alien....cuz he really sounds like a typical space alien from what i have read.
thats nuthin im a terminator hitman......better than a space alien who hides in human form and hides under a rock or building.
sees gct being manhandled by a sea of human waves and lifted over everyones heads and him being transported from stage to the exit by a sea of hands like in rock concerts in the usa.
wanna record this fer old times sake.
"it is very serious"
++++++++++++++++++
He said that a few times.
And it indeed very serious.
They are the future generations that will ultimately cast their votes to either pap or opposition.
Hopefully pap will take it seriously all the problems the grounds are facing.
British labour party was voted out and in fact ,many newly intergrated citizens vote against the party for opening the flood gate of foreigner for UK.
Human are like that one... When you join a better group, you do not want more other to join this group and dilute their advantage.
Like Hong Kong too, when new main lander managed to got their HK citizens. They too detest other main lander trying to get the HK citizen. I still remember 15 years ago, a news abt HK government trying to let many illegal immigrant legalised but was later back down due to mass unpleasant from local. The illegal gather a mass rally to plead for HK government to reverse the decision. Then there is this new HK citizen of China original kick one of the rally supporter . Telling him to get out of HK..
If PAP really bank on new citizens to vote for them.. They are really making a big mistake.
Strange that this type of party like PAP that no one supports still can gather so many votes during elections.
I think the rapid increase of fares, GST on daily necessities, our conjested land, and shortage of 'talented' manpower, low birth rates are all inter-linked/ no dooubt esp in a small island state singapore. increase in growth but why sare salaries going stagnant or down. comeone statistics are only for show. even we all in manufacturing SPC applications know that its all sampling and not the actual total figure. and charts can be manipulated. i think this election we should give them some pressure. if you find any opposition that you just cannot trust your votes with at least void the one in your hand if you also feel the existing one is going nowhere.
so sad his salary blinded him.
he still dare have to balls to ask a question when a question is posed to him.
Lim Zi Rui asked a clear and straight forward question and peanuts goh cannot even answer them properly.
still wan take construction workers as example, no one is complaining abt them, it's about PMETs and he chose to ignore them. sad.
he must have been shocked by the audacity of that question. Lau goh shd retire la.....what SM crap position? Creating such positions only make the PAP juniors afraid of making brave policies. Have him in an advisory position instead.
In the 30 October, Saturday, edition of the Straits Times (page A14), it was reported that NTU student Lim Zi Rui was telling SM Goh about how younger Singaporeans no longer feel a sense of belonging to the country. Here is the exchange, as reported by the Straits Times (bold emphasis ours):
“This is your country,” SM Goh replied. “What do you want me to do to make you feel you belong?”
“For my part, don’t worry about me,” Mr Lim said. “I will definitely do something, if I can, for Singapore. But I can tell you honestly that the sentiment on the ground is a bit different.”
“If that is prevalent among young people over here, we’ve got a real problem,” SM Goh said. “If the majority feel they don’t belong here, then we have a fundamental problem. Then I would ask myself: What am I doing here? Why should I be working for people who don’t feel they belong over here?“
(Read Yahoo’s report of the exchange here.)

American president Barack Obama, after having won the US presidency:
“And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your president too.“

Might as well don't go to vote. Why waste time queueing up, only to spoil your vote?
We need more constructive answers. seriously i am not convicned. the answers not convincing. is ther even a check on every company on the ration of forign cheap talent wannabe agsinst locals? is there a rule for companise to cubmit their headcount and be open for gahmen checks on the 'content' of their lbaor forece? if no i think its bad. cos t i know a few compaanies flooded with floor traps. so companies can just hire all floor traps and leave a few sgreans managers can do is it?
GST, ERP, COE, high HDB flat prices, high cost of living, over population, packed public transport, low wage jobs.
These are just some of the things Singaporeans need to defend.
Imagine if these things did not exist in Singapore.

Defending the infrastructures and systems that PAP uses to leach us.
How ironic?

If all these things did not exist in Singapore, we are already living by the Swiss standard. But in the end, it's all broken promise.
