  local 60%, foreigners 40%?! I am not surprised by this ! I think by using the excuse to welcome foreign talents and turning many of them into citizens, these new citizens will 100% vote for the PAP in the coming elections and this can be quite important to some constituencies and substantial enough to overcome the increase in opposition votes cast by local-bred Singaporeans !

  WE THE SINGAPORE CITIZEN WISH TO RETURN HOME TO THIS ISLAND CALL SINGAPORE...BUT..WITH THE HOUSING PRICE AND what PAP has turned the country for foreigner ONLY..we no longer can afford even a HUB house...not to mentioned that companies will only hire cheap foreinger as we are an 'expensive' lot that no longer are welcome back to OUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Well, that is exactly what our govt wanted, just that they cannot put it on the public. Since you know it, get lost, we do not need people who cannot afford to live here.

  The way our govt reshape this country, already tell you that in near future, this is not going to be a place for the poor, I meant you see how they expand Sentosa Cove way of living, built the Sail alike condos, the silver and gold condos/ houses along the beaches or whatever ponds view they have and the Pinnacle type of HDB, the ever increase cost of living and policies leaning toward the rich advantages, etc etc. All these make a mere a working class manager/engineer poorer, not to mention the workers. Its a fact, leave now before it is too late.

  Something that I saw somewhere

   

  Sinkapore is like a candle

  the garment is the flame

  the wax is the citizens

  the smoke is the foreigners

   

  When the flame became greedy

  And wanted to burn more brightly

  calling out to the smoke for help

  the smoke floated around and did nothing

   

  the flame was eventually extinguished by the tired wax

  which melted away to every corners of the world

  while the smoke disappeared without a trace

  Such is the tragic tale of a country once named Sinkapore
