hmmm....s'pore merge with australia? that is ridiculous...
remembering that s'pore and malaysia was once connected by "ties of kinship" but yet shouts of "merdeka!" to evade the then bloodshed which brought us through the memory lane to the present s'pore with currency more than doubled theirs and outgrow them in GDP with their combined 13 states...
it is better we remain our own sovereignty and mutual respect

Singapore and Australia were once merged in a way by both being members of the British commonwealth. Perhaps one day Sigapore and Australia can once again be merged in a Chinese commonwealth -

who are we singaporeans to question the way aussies live and work? then again, what right do the aussies have to question the way we do things? if this bitter gap between ideology and tradition cannot be breached, there is no real way we can live together in peace.
