LKY should not go be4 elections,it would turn to the govt's favour as it will be another PR extravaganza that they will capitalise on to stirr emotions of ppl...

I agree, dun spoil the thing. Just like Chen Da Bian like that, a 319 gunshot incident = another rule for 4 years.
The time has come, now PAP is lost. It has taken the wrong path and don't know how to U turn back. Lots of singaporeans have suffered in the last 4 years under a lost PAP regime, how much longer are you going to suffer?
The time has come, now opposition parties need to be voted into parliament to lend a hand to PAP to guide it back to the correct path. To provide good alternate policies, to check the PAP and change the PAP.
For this to happen, you will need to vote for opposition parties in the coming election. Vote without fear. if you fear this and that, then you might as well stay at home.
Malaysians have suffered, in 2008 they voted more than one third of opposition members into parliament, if Malaysians can done it, what are Singaporeans still fearing of? The serial number on the ballot paper? Or your rice bowl if you are in civil service?
If you think this is still not the time to do, it will be too late in 2016 when foreigners-turned-citizens will outnumber you. You will regret it!

I doubt GRCs like Marine Parade, Ang Mo Kio, West Coast or Bishan - Toa Payoh can win (Esp. Bishan case with SDP courting to death as their credibility.... CMI coupled with the area is mostly civil servants living there.). West Coast is unlikely even the with JBJ's son due to the fact that the Teban [Ayer Rajah] area is pro-PAP (And yet the transportation there like only a few buses, no MRT / LRT. WTF?) and small opp party can lost their deposit without the need for 3 corner fights.
Cheo Chai Chen was the SDP MP in Nee Soon Central from 1991 to 1997. He later jump ship and is now with NSP.
I'm in West Coast GRC. The reason PAP can get high number of votes in Ayer Rajah the last time in 2001 (in 2006 it became part of the GRC) was because the opposition candidate was weak and majority did not know him. Tan Lead Shake from DPP.
Pioneer ward of the GRC has the most number of foreigners-turned-citizens. So I guess the most number of PAP votes in this GRC will come from this ward.

And Teban (Ayer Rajah) is helmed by a 25 years old in politics senior MP who retires in 2006.
Tan Lead Shake, I think people now shake no because of his wife who is in prison for 16 years due to a manslaughter. Pity to both of them......
Pioneer ward? Wa, near Pioneer MRT station? Wheres that?
If Sillyporeans are reluctant to place the opposition into parliament, comes year 2016, the pinoy, burmese and viet would have garner enough of their pr-turn-citizen compatriots for
1) the pap to court them openly for their votes.
These people are now keeping quiet for their prized pr and citizenship but once they are thru the gate, their demands will not stop there, mirrorring those compliant, fearful Sillyporeans'.
2) them to form a political party to take care of their interest.
Then, Sillyporeans would wake up to the need for dual parliamentary system. But even in dual parliamentary system, a minority party always has the upper hand by forcing the two elephants to slug it out.
It would be too little, too late for the apolitical Sillyporeans to wake up to the new reality.
Sleep Sillyporeans sleep.
"More and more mega blunders and bad policies have brought on countless problems to the citizens in general. If Singaporeans were forward thinking, they will need to adjust their mindsets to consider the possibility that the incumbent party might one day fail to deliver what they have promised and if that were to happen, they will need immediately another party to take over the helm."
Its a matter of choosing who you want to do the mega blunders.
As if any other party are not capable of mega blunders.
The biggest and safest blunder is not coming to a decision.

It's about choice.
Nobody will know for sure if the opposition parties, should they come into power in the future, will not cock up badly just like the incumbent party now.
But at least you tried to change.
It's like a juice blender that you have at home. If it starts giving you problems, you will buy another new juice blender to replace it. There is no guarantee that the new juice blender will not spoil in the future. But at least you bought a new one.
You won't stick with the same broken blender and hope that the problem will go away because it "served you well in the past 5 years".
Unless you are the sentimental kind who likes to keep old and spoilt juice blenders that used to work 10 or 20 years ago.
And keep trying to get them to do whatever they used to do for you eons back.
Never mind if it is takes 30 mins to grind some juice out of an orange.
What if the juice blender ain't broke?
It just does what any juice blender does, but you would like it to peel the fruit, juice it, chill it and served with a bendy straw.
And all available blenders in Courts, Best Denki, Gain City do not do as good a job as your current blender, which is why it lasted so long in the first place.
It all blends down to making a choice.
Each decides on his own, or make a decision on the influence of another.
Even if a decision is made on the influence of another, the last act is still rest on the individual.

Alas, even famous brands that used to be very reliable last time are now being produced by supposedly "cheaper, better, faster" countries and quality standards have fallen.
Such is the reality of the world we live in now.
I have audio casette tapes and player that still works.
I have LDs and player that still works.
My TV, a CRT Toshiba, still works, although broke down and repaired twice in all its 17 years of service.
I have DVDs and the players broke down after a year, and is not worth repairing, and bought another one, and another one when it cannot detect any disk.
I am staying away from Blue Ray.
Such is the reality of the world we live in now.
Standards have risen but quality has declined.
And that goes for humanity too.

Pioneer ward is the area surrounding Pioneer MRT station. Jurong West St 61 to St 65 and St 93.
MP is Cedric Foo.

I hope this Pioneer ward will become a SMC, so as not to pull down the opposition total vote in the GRC.

Lol, make sense but PAP isnt a fool to let Foo lead a SMC. Sure bo? I tot he is a walkover MP AT ALL since his political career.

I recall he was the one who said "white horses" in the military each have a special file set up for them so that no special treatment will be given to them in the army.
Go figure.
At the end of the day, PAP will win for sure in the coming GE.
But hopefully percentage will drop to wake them up.
IF.....if...the percentage increases, then opposition members still unable to convince the pple about voting the opposition parties.
Contest Tanjong Pagar, get LKY out. Easy.
