It's a poor man's world...

TR is extremely partisan.
It seems that the website is solely dedicated to attacking PAP, day and night.
It's a little nauseating and obnoxious.
Straits Times is a partisan newspaper, and it is already bad enough, but TR is Straits Times x 10. The editors' and writers' mouth seem to be foaming with rabies and they rage at PAP all the time, twisting stuff and exaggerating things. After a while it just gets old and predictable. They are more ridiculous than even some forumers here, and that says a lot.

Now we have a very unhealthy media situation in Singapore, on one side the mainstream state media, effectively controlled by PAP govt is all one sided pro-PAP propaganda.
Critics of PAP will never have a voice in the PAP state media. This forces critics to express their views online.
So we get an online media that is very critical and anti-PAP.
Very polarised.
All of this is due to the repressive policies of PAP.

repressive is part of a politician job, they are trained and learned and examined on repression in their political science paper I and paper II on application. Now if a politician do not apply repression in his/her ruling, he/she will be out of job.
TR is like a tabloid.....they can exaggerate things but they are not uncredible either. And it's interesting to see a lot of different opinions posted there.
ST's propaganda all these years have been hidden under the guise of well-written english, that's all.

My english teacher in secondary school used to tell us students that ST is one of the worst newspapers with rubbish grammar.
I think he is anti-PAP.

While alive, She was deaf to nonsensical critics, not to mention now that she had gone.

Two sensational "TR Exclusives" today (07 Oct 2010) which will take the entire Singapore by storm.
Please visit our site (www.temasekreview.com) in the morning as the traffic is likely to become heavy as the news are leaked.
If you cannot access it, visit our mirror site at:
www.temasekreview.net
I think authorities have been trying to block off that site for the past few days.
The review actually is doing the lion city a favour in accounting why the real issues like flooding and spoilt lift are never dealt with.
How public funds are used for private event ?
Why the servant are busy attending a private event and not doing their work ?
How a self-deceiving old man is using public funds for his personal matter ?
Why there is alway money no enough for the old man and his dynasty ?
The review is nothing but a reflection of Strait times, in fact, it may improve your english better than ST
However, having said that, for those younger reader like me, you need to be smart and intelligent when reading the review, otherwise you will most likely get hallucinated and spiralled into the realm the other side. You need to have a strong mind to understand the Review
most review articles are written by overly stress authors who were either tortured or confined till dumb, for that you have to understand before reading TR. Dun expect a bestseller writer there ya

You mean you DON'T believe the articles written in TR, and you rather believe articles in ST?
sure I believe, just that it is too aggressive in it approach, alots of revengeful words and sentences in it, to us, the young ones, we feel offended and find that the review which started as a good site begin to turn into a site for some peoples to vent their anger and so on. You need to attract the young ones in a more friendly approach and less aggression, state the facts and be objectives on a whole, not on personal interest nor personal attacking others.
TR - I always belief half, suspect half. LOL...
But nonetheless, its quite an entertaining website!
good for my bedtime reading

Hopefully, it can make you think and try to make Singapore better, either through the sacred vote (if you're eligible) or through grassroots activities. However big or small....
JunYang, for Singapore, you can do it.
otherwise,
Singaporeans, when will you be replaced?
