all GDP figures are bullshit................they never figure in inflation...........i wonder if they figure in effects of GST..............currency fluctuation.................also if population increase by 5% but GDP increase by less %.............overall, where got grow ???!!!
also even if GDP grow...............doesn't mean income will grow..........

So you think SDP or worker party or jeyaratnam party takeover, they going to abolish the GST? What are they going to do to reduce the high property price? Maybe they increase interest rates ah...die lor...those still paying housing loans will bleed. Perhaps limit immigration. Then suddenly you go yam cha the hawker start raising the price. Why? Because salary go up mah, have to employ local bred people. Inflation even worse. Businesses start complaining about lack of work force and why people don't want to fill in the vacant jobs like bus drivers and casino dealers. Do you not see the domino effect?
Singapore is now becoming like Tokyo, high cost living, it is an epidemic the nation cannot avoid. But the govt should lessen the suffering by introducing more social measures such as more community homes for the poor and perhaps subsidised MRT and bus fares. This is the most they can do. I ask you how are we going to solve this high cost epidemic? How? We are not like Venezuela, rich in oil, we got no resources.

the problem is our small land size and lack of naterual resources. if they say people is good can depend on why still nedd so many floort traps andpee arses?
i don;t careabout what party. we should increase our land size and come up with our own naterual resources. expanding in our offshore ilands is one of the way.

According to TR, foreigners now make up 36% of our population, which means to say 3 person living in Singapore, more than 1 is a foreigner. -
