in any case, at the most PAP will only track the higher civil servants only...............for obvious reasons...........
they can't be bothered with the countless lowly civil servants and other people...............
end of the day, if scared of this ........scared of that..............then DON'T COMPLAIN.............since no guts to even try to change things............
So only civil servant will get into trouble.
But sure every civil servant vote for PAP? Sure gt some vote opposition one mah.
They got scacked?

If they were sacked for voting against PAP, they would have been on TOC or TR headlines by now.
After all, they have already been sacked, right???
So have we seen anyone??.. NO..... so that proves the conclusion.

still got civil servants vote for opposition..............but not those earning big bucks............
PAP will probably track top civil servants and top business people................especially their rivals in business................
PAP will also track Doctor Chee Soo Juan ???.................see if he's still loyal to PAP...............that undercover mole..............
I am very surprised (and disappointed) that after all these years, my fellow countrymen still thinks that their votes can be tracked...
The serial number issue is just a scare tactic. PAP CANNOT review the votes, unless it has reason to believe that the votes are tampered.
After each election, votes are brought in their ballot boxes immediately to the courts to be sealed. To open the votes, one needs to apply to the court stating the reason why they wish to unseal the votes. The unsealing of votes requires ALL contesting parties to be present.
Check the votes to see who voted for opposition? PAP will have to apply to the courts to get approval, and then check it in front of the contesting opposition. Do you think our opposition will not make a din if that happens?

If Lee Kuan Yew want to know who you voted for, he must do it by himself, alone, Mission Impossible style. He only have to keep his mouth shut, and nobody would know.
To use a team to break into the storage facilities of the voting boxes, open them and then rummage through all the voting slip to find that one, is asking for an for trouble.
Singapore is so small, that if a Minister farts, the whole nation would know in two days time.
People talk.
I believe those who are scared to vote against should watch this.

The scanning of votes is not done after the votes are counted, it is done while the votes are counted, at least that's what I suspect. The voting boxes are sealed after counting, so it would be difficult, but not impossible to break open if they wanted to.
During the last election, Ling How Doong said on the news that the election officials took their time to place all the voting slips under a light and he was commenting that the place was already so bright, why the need to shine it under the lamp.
Invisible barcode scanners.
The barcodes are invisible under normal light conditions.
I like this sentence in the brochure, "it's what the recipient does not see that makes invisible barcodes a new technology with a lot of promise."
This technology was released in 2003, I am sure it's possible to make proprietary devices way before 2003.
Dont worry about tracking down on you.
It wont unless something very very serious happen to pap.
So what if you get tracked? Announce to the world? Stupid right?
Just like shooting one's own feet.

It's people like you that will cause Singapore to forever go down the path of having an inexplicable fear of voting against the PAP.
There is absolutely NO evidence of votes being recorded by the ruling party. My dad, who was an election official at one of the voting stations, told me that there is no such thing about PAP people attempting to record the votes made by the citizens.
All votes are guarded by the election official, and then sent to the courts for sealing. To break the seal requires adequate justification, and has to be made with the representatives of both parties involved in that election.
I have friends who have voted for the opposition, and still are doing well in their careers. I have been vocal in my issues with the ruling party. My boss at that time was the brother of a certain minister currently in the cabinet, and I still get my A ranked performance. And I am now working in the USA for an international organization.
I don't see where is the evidence that supporting opposition would cause one person's career to derail. It's totally baseless, and is a fear that is bordering on superstition.
The point is, if my fellow citizens don't wake up, and start learning to take responsibility for the fate of where our country will go, Singapore is doomed to go down this same route, and in 30 years time, as I mentioned, we will have more and more social consequences from the current policies of today.

It's not whether you are right or I am right. But if we continue to believe that voting is tracked (almost like a superstition), it will continue to keep citizens from being responsible for our own country
As I said, there is no evidence of such a thing, and its just a scare tactic of our ruling party.
I also think there is no issues with supporting the opposition. I am pro-opposition but I am not a PAP-hater. There's a difference between the 2 types of people.
Invisible bar-code?
Who incorporate it into the voting slips:
Who install the readers?
Who supply the equipments?
Ti ah, your friends, your brothers, your neighbours, your distant cousin, your classmates, may be you, even!
Not possible to do such thing without word getting out.
Its not the PAP thats instilling fear among the people, its people like βÎτά .
fear is powerful.
