What do you mean by "always get bullied by our government."
Easy to just say, but how to you justify that statement.

I think Singaporeans would rather work hard and earn to bring home the dough than waste time to answer your questions.

Actually, I do think the PAP is governing Singapore well up to now.
I do have a good education, and good standard of living.
But... it is also important to maintain and also upgrade the standards.
Recent development are slow, and the neighboring countries are catching up. The question is can Singapore maintain and enhance its current status.

Dear friends, fellow artists and activists from Singapore and the world over, I will be in prison for 2 weeks starting from tomorrow, August 11.
I've been arrested and put in lock-up for single days a few times, but this will be my first actual prison term. Here is a BBC article which mentions my views on it near the end, but with incorrect dates:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-10849942

Why do you people hate the government so much? Give me some examples. Lee Kwan Yew is a really respectable man, he's just like Singapore's founding father. Would David Marshall from those days have brought Singapore to where we are now? I don't think so. I understand some people just don't agree with the Government on most things, but complaining here is no use.
Anyway, to answer the poll. I think it's (B). WP and SDP are just so weak and insignificant. I've been to Potong Pasir and Hougang (the opposition part), and they are really sub-par in terms of cleanliness. And did anyone read WP's plan for public transport? "The Public Transport Council should be dissolved. All public transport including the MRT and public buses servicing major trunk/inter-town routes should be brought under a National Transport Corporation which will oversee and provide universal transport service to all." That's just screwed up.

Sure, we make money here too, all thanks to PAP govt, giving us a free economy and taxfree return on capital gains from the investment markets. But somehow, they forgo those in the lower abt 20% poor levels being separated further and further away from those on the top, and these bring about dissatisfaction among these lower levels of peoples, most are poor people, with rich one in it, and these rich are those bearing hatre and jealousy of the PAP since ancient times, however, PAP are not worry about them, cos, they are getting lesser and lesser.
With 20% bearing grudges and hatre about living here, the rest 80% got not much a problem, so we expect an 80% Voting for PAP. That is the target set. Anything less will end up all PAP MPs having to visit oxley rise for coffee and tea session by LKY.

lets not get too personal, what our forefather did was good, if you r old enough u should had heard of this when the first badge of HDBs introduced, the gov. want every families to have a roof over their heads even they can be broke. Helping us to save by creating a people,s bank known as POSB without any min saving required.
Now what is Singapore now??? HDBs repo by banks, why??? min saving S$500???
Moving forward to a better standard of living doesn't means that needs to take away those good things that given to the citizens. Do you take back things that given to help????

hello, nothing is free in here hor, if you think you want to live in those old one corridor fit all room as i am told, since i am not born yet, no problem, all the goodies still remain, but look at HDB now, so nice, the surrounding is like a garden of eve, and the shopping, market, shops and many other amenities are just around. You got to pay a price for it, how can you want to eat abalone and paid a fish cake price??

what cock you talk? there was this crack down on LEGAL money lenders that demand their "client" sell their flat to pay back the loan. They got whacked hard, because even if you bankrupt, they cannot touch your HDB. -

The government sometimes really tries hard to do something, but some people just don't follow the rules. Like the smoking ban, why are still people smoking in bus stops?! Go get lung cancer and die! You're not only causing others to suffer, but also causing Global Warming.

We should follow the rules to make this a peaceful society. PAP need not follow the rules, just like every government; they only need to follow their own rules that they set. I'm actually quite happy with PAP. Maybe you can say because I'm a student and I appreciate the edusave and subsidies and that I'm not in that lower 20% of the working population.
you only do what is right, what is peaceful and what is just.
imprisonment does not in any way prove you are not right, not peaceful and not just.
