Despite of what you think. Actually there are still many drugs who get into Singapore. Think about it, the drug addict need at least several doses of drugs everyday. Where do they get it from, when there is no production in Singapore?
Even with death penalty, killing every1 that possess drug, there are still drug addicts in Singapore.
And hello, my grandfather give birth to my dad at 16 years old, my dad give birth to me at 20 years old. So 18 to 19 is not considered young.
Do not deal with drug, do not deal with this kind of people and break the law, this will solve all the problem. Even if you dont want to study, you started as a hawker assistant at 16, you will not have this kind of problem.

This law i think should abolish the madatory death sentance to let the judge deicide. If it is madatory death sentance, the criminal confirm + chop + guarantee hangman one. But if it is not madatory, then the judge can give 2nd chance on exceptional cases like malaysian guy who was very young at that time when he commited the crime.

If you trafficking...maybe life sentences. Case by case? Harsh? If convicted twice...death sentence. If once, life sentences. Must catch the head, not the runner.

I think this whole drug thing is really retarded. Its not as if the drug ask the person to take it. Its your choice whether you want to take or not. And i'm sure smart people won't. I think there are more people who die from traffic accidents, natural disasters and diet based problems compared to drugs.

1st) Teach how to make singapore richer. HAHA. Confiscate the drug and sell at a higher price to malaysia or other country like Hong Kong and taiwan.
2nd) Arrest the drug peddlers and chop off their legs and hands. Make them beg and line them up in Changi airport and outside convention hall. This will improve our economy.

I know 1 way of smuggling drug over. Use family as smoke screen. I see the custom officers hor they see the car inside got 1 family (for my case is my grandma, + uncle + my mom + my dad and me)they just let you go after checking the trunk one (wont check inside of car). But of course la you need to act normally to succeed.

Because of much money, some ppl would traffic drug regardless of whatever penalties. Since I argue it is not appropriate to use death penalty on trafficking drugs, this should be a good justification to amend the law.

Why no ones mention abt canning? given 50 strokes of can for 1st time offender, only death sentence for 2nd time. I sure the canning would leave a fear effectively.

Then drug runners can always be first-timers, it doesn't get rid of drug trafficking. -
In China, corruption can be punished with death penalty.But after putting some corrupt officers to death, corruption is still rampant in China. Death penalty can't solve the problem. Surely S'pore doesn't want to follow their way.

The death penalty is a good solution for them. They too many ppl so they kill the officer = 1 less person from the population. It also appease the people so they wont abolish the dealth penalty one. As for singapore, LHL prefer to increase population via immigrants because the results is instant one no need to wait for them population to grow and to them, culling away those black sheeps makes the rest of the herd pure so most likey the penalty is here to stay.
