Sigh. Another one of these lame threads.
The bottom line is simple: if you don't like the law, then don't break it. If the death penalty makes your balls drop, then don't do drug trafficking. Sheesh.
About his age, well, don't tell me that at 18 or 19 years old, he is still too young or too immature to understand that dealing with drugs is a very stupid thing to do. Even an 8 or 9 year old boy would know that stuff like 'ganja', 'heroin', or 'ecstasy' are evil and would get you into a lot of trouble.
I can agree that the law is harsh. But we must all also remember that the function of the law is to not just to punish; it is also to deter. If the harsh sentence can act as a deterrence, then I would say that the law has worked, no matter how distasteful it may be.

today got one ass ride bicycle and knock me.
i wanted to report police and sue him but i have to work cannot be late.
but if i did sue him he loose also got no money to compensate my lawyer fees.
but when i call police he will ride his bicycle and flee like a coward
