One day i was filtering my HR's email folder for job applications, and I saw the resumes sent in, all the same story. How I got access to their email accounts? I'm the one who set up the network.
Please bare in mind unemployment is global it is in Europe in N.A and certainly many asian countries. Most Singaporean just don't realized that.
job search has also gone global thanks to internet. Professionals are mobile as ever its just a matter of backpack.
The only positive trend i see is that there is a conscious effort by singaporean employer to look at citizens resume first.
The downside is that they really pressed down on salary. To have good employers in Singapore is a totally different issued altogether. You have to work on it.
I only know that the MNC I work in is still lacking engineers. Keep asking us if we have friends to recommend.
Not enough people apply for job here.
Recently pple leave also, because job market quite hot.

Min 2nd class honors in Elect? Is this Mindef? What % of graduates of local univ can obtain that? Only 1% perhaps per batch.
I was told by one Singapore director that he hired India u grads have many master degrees and so on, but they don't even know how to use autocad, their English sounds like Indian songs...
I know of one Mynmar woman 48 yrs old. She claimed to have a master degree and kept lambasting Singaporeans of not being able to speak English and speak Mandarin all the time. In fact, she cannot pronounce properly. She came to Singapore in 2007 and had hopped 7 jobs so far and still hopping..She is also having affairs with one married Singaporean man.
There are many other horror stories about foreign brides who become Singaporean citizens.

Not Mindef. American MNC
Interview includes a small IQ test and a test on a technical question, like the pseudo code for sorting.
1% per batch is for first class. Not 2nd upper.
