All about YPAP leader Sinha Shekhar from India

Mr Sinha Shekhar is a new citizen from India and a prominent leader of the YPAP. He has been a Singapore citizen for 17 years. He obtained his Singapore citizenship in 1994 and joined the PAP in 1998. Though he was only 25 years old when he became a new citizen of Singapore, he did not serve a single day of National Service like other Singaporean males.He is a speech therapist by training and previously worked at the National Council of Social Services. He owns a private property and a HDB resale flat which he rented out for income. He recently complained on the REACH Facebook that the rental is not sufficient to cover his bank instalments.
“I pay really high for the resale flat and the rents am collecting is not enough to pay for instalments I owe the bank…Just because I own a private property, I don’t have to pay higher tax.”When a netizen lodged a complaint against him to HDB, Mr Sinha Shekhar threatened to sue him for slander.
“If I want to sue this guy (KojakBT) for slander, will HDB give me his details? They can’t!”
Mr Sinha Shekhar has given his comments on a wide range of issues on the REACH Forum and Facebook. He is also active on the YPAP Facebook. He sparked a massive outcry in cyberspace a few months ago by describing PAP critics as “DOGS” on the YPAP Facebook. His comment was not deleted by the YPAP Facebook administrator who seemed to endorse it. Neither did YPAP Chairman Teo Ser Luck condemn him for his statement.
“When the DOGS bark at you, you don’t have to bark at them, just ignore.”Mr Sinha Shekhar later told the media that he stands by his words:
““I am more determined to contribute online. I stand by truth, discipline and professionalism….I can be blunt … some may not understand.”
Two weeks later, he was awarded an “Outstanding Contributors’ award” by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in person for the regularity of his contributions on REACH forum.
