Of course Spore can hold any any world class events.Just increase any costs, pass the bulks down to our pple and govt in no time, recoup the money back very fast and easy.
So, I think better not to have big mega event in Spore. We feard the rising cost of our daily expenses.

You mean, when you become needy (due to illness, diability, etc), you WILL NOT expect help from government?
That you will still continue to work as a needy?
Then why are you paying taxes to goverment if they don't give you help/aid at all?
It's natural to become lazy knowing you can get some money from the govt without working.
But it's equally natural for the govt to spend money recklessly without the need for accountability?????

Every big events create jobs, good for Singaporeans, from youngs to the old ones, the youngs will entertain the guests, the oldies will have job in cleaning up the places after the big events. And if there are 4 big events every year in singapore, singaporeans will sure to get jobs, so if singaporeans got jobs, they can earn salary and therefore can pay the rising cost with no problems.Smart Govt

Sorry, PAP are good in excuses, for every failure, there is sure to have a reason and excuse, the blame is alway divert out of their way, did you notice they blamed the food caterers for the food poisoning, the wrong emails for wrong certificate, the budget committee for miscalculation.
And now, luck is with them, cos India commonwealth games is much much worst prepared than YOG, so the in reverse, they said they are actually very good and well organised. PAP alway got some lucky star to save them.
