  France has Europe's second-highest birth rate in part because of incentives offered by the government. Such incentives include:
  

  • Three-year paid parental leave with guaranteed job protection upon returning to the workforce;
    
  • Universal, full-time preschool starting at age three;
    
  • Subsidized daycare before age three;
    
  • Stipends for in-home nannies; and
    
  • Monthly childcare allowances that increase with the number of children per family.

  It seems they have cross 1.5 moving up 1.9

  I dun think SG will implement even 1year parental leave with job protection....why cause of economical reason..well guess what there won't be any sporeans left by 2030 if birthrate so dismal...but do they really bother no ....open the gates to more FTs from china and india

  there are dangers in this policy. what if a couple has a child once every 3 years just to take advantage of the benefits? employers will have to keep them on payroll, they're not serious about bringing up the child, it'll cause economic and social problems.

  If I was a girl in sg, I would get pregnant as many times as possible, then have abortions after the third month of being pregnant so I would deliver a potato sized 1/3 developed dead fetus, then I would take the fetus, put it in a jar of preservative liquid and put it on a shelf in a secret room in my house. and i would do it until I had so many rooms walls were nothing but potato sized aborted fetuses. then i would have kids and when they're bad i would make them sit in the fetus room and remind them of how easy i could have aborted their ass.

  Sg should freeze or cut minister and senior officials' pay and use the money for funds to support and encourage child birth. come one the baseline is, standdard of living too high lah
