Households will pay more for their electricity tariffs from July to September.
SP Services says that the electricity tariffs for households will go up by 0.57 cents per Kilowatt-hour to 24.13 cents per kWh, an increase of 2.4 percent.
It is the fifth consecutive quarter of increase.
On average, families in four-room HDB flats will pay about
S$2.33 more a month.
SP Services says the average fuel oil price over the last three months remained stable at about S$102 per barrel.
However, the non-fuel components of the tariff have increased due to higher capital and operating costs of power generation.
The tariff also includes an adjustment for under-collection in the previous quarter. -

Why electricity so expensive in Sg? In PRC it cost 15cent and actually the local government included lot of taxes and not subsidising the fee.
The cost of electricity from gas is app 3cent, fire (coal etc) cost app 8cent.Why are Spore charing 10 times more than cost of producting electricity???????

Now we earn 3000 but HDB cost 400,000. You can go and die la PAP.
Your house make of gold brick is it. No wonder a lot of youngster choose to jump down from the buidling. If GST raise to 10 per cents. Definetly you will be choose down. KNN, 6 years one time Election. Brother dun waste the vote. If you contiune to vote them, life will go HARDER forever. EVEN the opposition candidate is ice cream seller, i will also vote for them. Why? cos he know how hard our life is. -

Too expensive will only drove foreign investors away. PAP wake up la. If US 1 is to SGD 1. I bet all the foreigner will withdraw their plants over here and move to CHina or Vietnam. We will forever lower than them. Stop dreaming.

my area many years ago belong to opposition party, can't even build a bridge across to mrt station, but after they got it back, bridge ready within 2---3 weeks!!!!!

GST offset was given out every July from 2007 to 2010 because the GST was to be raised from 7% to 10% by 2010??
(8% by 2008, 9% by 2009, 10% by 2010???).
The GST was however not raised to 10% due to economic recession? -
