I disagree. I don't think Brits would take up Singapore citizenship. Possibly PR status but not Singapore citizenship. Singapore does not permit dual citizenship. In addition, British citizenship opens a door to the whole of the EU in terms of living, working and travel. As such, I don't know who would give up such a benefit for Singapore citizenship. Perhaps retirees!

whatever, people who left can never forget their motherland, being born here, they also wish to die here..in the end, "the wandering bird will return to its nest"
????thinks malaysia now looks more like spore of my time...............me only want spore cuz i know cheap hardware shop in spore that sells rubber cheaply.????i make my millions then perhaps....maybe i come back spore and eat rat satay and leftover hum laksa or $6 nasi bunkus...or $2.50 chiken rice snax....meanwhile....busy in oz.
actually i find food in malaysia kind of cheaper ,better and faster.

i can take the first 2 but why "faster" ?
Originally posted by Terminator Hitman:actually i find food in malaysia kind of cheaper ,better and faster.
if u r working in Singapore, yes, sure malaysia food are cheapers, but if you are a local there, singapore foods are consider more cheaper in term of wages vs cost of living.
again the analogy goes this way..
a person earning $1000 sing goes to malaysia buy a plate of mee at RM5 ringgit is consider only about $2.30 sing dollars
a local there earning RM1000 buying the same plate of mee at RM5 is very costly for him...in total he can buy only 1000/5= 200 plates
whereas a Singaporean earning $1000 buying a plate of mee at $3 sing dollar in singapore is cheaper, because that Singaporean can buy 1000/3=300++plates
so, if you said Malaysian food are cheaper better and faster...i dun really agree.
and you may end up going toilet more faster than anyone here..
araphoe,
well they do serve food as fast as in spore.when i last went to JB, first thing i saw was the food shops and they served me real fast and food was very traditional and great value....but me thinks the ribbers and snatch thieves prowling around jb will run off wiv yer $$$ even faster too.
The army does take away our time from work.
But I have to say I do have more time to think about how I want to proceed further during reservist. It's actually beneficial for me.
It all boils down to how you are going to utilise all the time and opportunities given to you and taking the necessary actions to improve your situations instead of flairing in despair and complaining.
Moving overseas is an action by itself to improve one's situation by some. Merely complaining and grousing does minimal to help.
I don't mind reservist, I actually like reservist, as it gives me a break off work despite it being more physically and mentally exhausting, but doing it with army mates just takes all the pain away.
The only thing I don't like is the annual IPPT.

I only know many malaysians migrate to australia.
