Why can't the Opposition Parties compete at every wards?

be it a single ward or GRC, why dun they compete when the elections come? otherwise on earth are citizens and PR to cast their ballots at? I believe they are people who never ever gets to vote on election day, because its a walk-over at their ward. why? because the opposition did not contest at the ward?
no wonder there is a saying, there are no opposition parties and there is only a single party in Singapore. is it because the opposition cant find enough candidates to challenge the incumbent or cant pay for the deposit?
It would be better if they can form a coalition of sorts. I am not sure if I will ever get to see opposition parties winning at least 5-10 seats in parliament in my lifetime, never mind forming the government. even with 10-15 seats, they cant even oppose or obstruct laws passed by PAP in the parliament. that is why, technically speaking, PAP can pass any laws they want in parliament due to their overwhelming majority in parliament.

the opposition can't get their acts together to stop bickering with each other to even come up with a united front...
then there are idiotic strategies like the "by-election strategy" where the opposition basically handed the MIW the whole effing parliament even before a single vote was cast...
up to now, no one seems to know what the hell they want to do...

i saw on youtube this opposition election rally, this chap was talking about plants obstructing walkways and HDB not doing anything about it.

each candidate $12,000 deposit (not sure if accurate but if wrong will only be more not less), 6-man GRC means $72,000, who can tahan?
if someone can come up with the money he is unlikely to be disgrunted enough to join opposition.

like this how to vote the PAP out of power, with the opposition so weak. its no wonder when the PAP propaganda team uttered this, everyone toe the line even if they are unhappy with their policies. if they are ever in power one day, the reserves of singapore will be squandered after 4 decades of wealth accumulation. singapore will be done for when the next elections comes and by then, the landscape of singapore will be irreversibly damaged.
as much as I disliked the influx of FT and other policies, but these opposition parties really are no hoper in challenging for every ward. when are they going to get their act together I wonder? if not now, then when? 100 years from now?

Maybe you dun even know how 'scrimp' our govt actually is in spending. It's only the tendering process tat's probably becoming complacent.As for FT... Actually no one in Singapore can really question about it. For one, our forefathers came in as immigrant and/ or like it or not, if w/o them many things can't run smoothly i.e. public buses.

The idea that most of Singapore locals were descented from immigrants and somehow this justifies flooding of aliens is total crap.
