That's what i think about the civil servant biggest mid year bonus ever.
i m sure many of us come into contact with civil servants in our daily life. how do u find them ? personally i hv met civil servants who are unprofessional, unknowledgeable, not proactive in helping us solve problems, more interested in writing reports n passing the ball to another department.
i always wondered - how come these ppl of obviously low calibre and with little passion for their jobs can get employment while there are many out there who are more competent but have difficulty finding work.
the public service are quick to reward themselves with bonus (taxpayers' money, by the way)... why fatten ppl who are already fat ? there are ppl out there who are unemployed, or working at jobs which are under-paid - thanks to their liberal FT policy

Unknowledgeable and unprofessional easier to control mah. Already dunno anything so nothing to ask ... therefore wont question policies or superiors decisions
more interested in writing reports n passing the ball to another department To the employer in civil service who cares where the ball went...so long dateline come le... 1 of the digits inside cope the ball and did the job

Low calibre ask less questions = yes man.... high calibre ask questions why this why that suggest new ideas...in other words make the employer bo eng

usually counter staff handling public do not write report. You are taking a high ground to judge that they are low calibre, unprofessional, unknowledgeable, while others are
more competent, you should apply to the HR of the civil service and help the situation.
