All policies are flawed, one way or another.
Thats because you can't please everyone.
Some will benefit, some will miss the benefit, some will be adversely affected. Some believe they have better ideas. Some will exploit the policies.
So the least flawed policy will be implemented.
You either choose a lousy government or a worse one.

This is an announcement,The govt had alway been in consultation with the public, namely the Employers, the grassroots leaders, the unions leaders and the CC members before implementing a proposed policy, and even so, with Singaporeans of all walks of life endorsement, the policy still need to go thru a debate in the parliament prior to pass the bill and make the policy into laws and action.
It is therefore, incorrect to say that there are public grievances in the govt policies. Amendment to the policy needs to go thru a feedback session, review session, dialogue session with singaporeans leaders of all walks of life, submit to the high court for submission before being allowed to present in the parliament to seek amandment.

IT is not the interest and much concern . .. . . for the govt to concentrate on welfare for the Singaporeans.. .. the govbramment 's main interest .... is profiteering
... so do not expect ...... govt to take care . .. . . . of the poor and needy.
Even with those limited number of people . . . receiving the financial assistance .. .. . these recipients were "grilled" over and over before . .. . . they are granted. They can be asked . . .. . . to sell their HDB flats . .. . .. and they will provide . .. . financial assistance from garverment ....... poot and pui party.
