So far, Singaporeans have been following the case with great excitement!
Preliminary findings on the Romanian diplomat case
On 15 Dec 2009, 3 pedestrians were knocked down by a black Audi in the Bukit Panjang area.
On 18 Dec 2009, the Romanian diplomat Dr Silvio Ionescu left Singapore .
Subsequently, the extraordinary government stated that the case is up to the courts to decide. It is obviously an attempt to shrink responsibilities!
Some time later, the police confirmed that the driver was the Romanian diplomat Dr Silvio Ionescu.
Although it is clear that the extraordinary government is trying to shrink its responsibilities, nevertheless it deserved to be praised for doing one thing:
Allowing the Romanian diplomat Dr Silvio Ionescu to leave Singapore on 18 Dec 2009!
Had the Romanian diplomat remain in Singapore , the Chee siblings will definitely hold a party in front of the Romanian embassy!
What I will include in the follow up article depends on the future actions of the extraordinary government!
I would greatly appreciate it if the extraordinary government kindly enlightens me on its future course of actions to be taken!

The court inquiry
For Dr Silvio Ionescu’s case, there are more than 50 witnesses BUT only 1 is worth paying attention to:
The ‘stone- throwing hero’ at Bukit Panjang!
After witnessing the accident at Bukit Panjang, the ‘stone- throwing hero’ picks up a stone and chase after the runaway car!
Is this possible in the first place?
So we give up our seats on buses and MRT trains to elderly and pregnant women?
What would I do if I am at the accident site that day?
I will also chase after the runaway car- with paper and pen!
I will not throw paper and pen at the car, I will take down the car license no!
After that, I will buy 4D!
Now, what I am doing is UNIQUELY SINGAPORE!
We are not living in utopia!

Possibility of Dr Silvio Ionescu being framed
Even after the court inquiry, we CAN’T dismiss this possibility!
Why?
The usual reasons:
In Singapore , you need to pay careful attention when renewing your fixed deposits. This is because if you don’t, you will have to accept the lower interest rates!
It is a very well known fact in Singapore and yet the EX government is doing nothing about it!
Actually the reason is very simple, when the banks pay lower interest on your FDs, their profits increase! When their profits increase, more taxes are paid to the EX government! When the government revenue increases, it is the credit of the EX government, thus there is a need to reward the ‘good performance (wayang)’ and awarded huge salary increment to the EX ministers!
This is called CONDONING DISHONESTY!
When MSK escaped from detention, the EX government blamed on complacency and as a result, Singaporeans is treated to the ‘ikan bilis’!
This is called SHRINKING RESPONSIBILITIES!
When an ex- minister made a HONEST mistake, PSA asked him to leave! When the management of TH loses billions-in a series of business deals- to foreigners, it is called HONEST MISTAKES!
The TH management is described as performing better than Warren Buffett! Warren Buffett buys shares and holds for long term purposes, while TH adopts a ‘buy high, sell low’ strategy!
This is called UNIQUELY SINGAPORE, INTEGRITY, MERITOCRACY & HONESTY!
The unusual reasons:
Dr Silvio Ionescu continuously ‘cry father, cry mother’ to the media!
Romanian government issue a diplomatic notice to Singapore , stating the immunity for Dr Silvio Ionescu still applies!
As a result, Interpol's Red Notice of arrest against Silvio Ionescu has been suspended.
This is an act of defiant! It is done deliberately! This is done with some thinking on the Romanian side!
If it is not done to highlight the existence of the ‘Inside Story’, then what is it done for?
A HONEST MISTAKE on the part of the Romanian government?
EX government claiming credit
By ‘upholding justice’, it demonstrate an understanding of the ‘deep feelings’ involved and that there is ‘rule of law’!
So, is this something worth to be happy about?
NO!
If I am allowed to choose, I will clearly prefer this:
1) renewal of the 2011 Water Agreement
2) return of MSK
3) foreigners lose billions to GIC & TH
Advice for Romanian government & Dr Silvio Ionescu
Dr Silvio Ionescu must be brave enough to admit mistakes if he is really guilty of it! If he is being framed up, he shouldn’t maintain his silence! He should be brave and put up a good fight!
It is better to die as a hero than to die as a coward! A hero will only choose to drop dead fighting in the battlefield!
‘Cry father, cry mother’ is of not much use! Dr Silvio Ionescu should write a letter and send it to the EX government- and copies of it to the media!
Fight the media war!
If Dr Silvio Ionescu is guilty of the deed, he should be charged!
If Dr Silvio Ionescu is being framed, then the Romanian government shouldn’t be seen as abandoning him!
A government without morals is a sure recipe for disaster!
Besides, who would be willing to undertake missions assigned by the Romanian government in future?
Judicial delays are one of the best methods since Romania do not have an EXTRAORDINARY government! Whether Dr Silvio Ionescu is guilty or not, this method can be used!
Dr Silvio Ionescu will be allowed to be out on bail and be required to hand over his passport!
As for diplomatic immunity, the key lies in Dr Silvio Ionescu’s activities on 15th Dec 2009!
It is basically ‘my words vs your words’!
