She said, at first the showroom shown a big balcony, but later upgrade already, look very small, she said it is good for drying cloth, but rainy days, water also can come in, and if you dun collect your clothing, it get wet, and also the wall get eroded easily, need to paint often. Check it out..!!
May I know which block in Boon Lay ?
I will check it up and perhaps take a photo of the balcony to share with forumers when I go to eat the famous Nasi Lemak at the Boon Lay Hawker Centre next time.
Thanks.
The cheaper solution is to have eaves for clothes drying. But a drawback is space for it can't be very big.

Angel,
I don't know why u want to oppose a simple and workable idea.

i did not oppose, just giving my 2 cents view on it. A very simple study you can make is go now to those flats I mentioned about, go around and ask those owners there, make a empirical survey and come back here to tell us if such idea works, in fact, it is not an idea, someone already done it.

High rise residential buildings have balconies for drying clothes for a long time. Can't HDB do it too?

Told you how many times, HDB has already build balconies, and also the space called service balcony. These are always closed up by the resident.
You advocated to introduce laws to prevent them from being closed up, remember.
So your idea for HDB to build balconies specially for drying clothes is just crapping.

I am not opposing, just discussing the pros and cons, you should reward me for being part of cataylst in making yr thread so long winded.
Just added another post to build up the nos and sent yr thread to the top.

I already posted that PRP should go into Orchard with a loaded shotgun pointing at his dick and a signboard about his ideas, if the people disagree with his ideas, they must pull the trigger of the shotgun. That is the best way to prove whether PRP's ideas agree with Singaporeans.

Your view is very correct.
Recently a maid fell off from window when she put a bamboo pole of clothing out of window. It requires quite big strength to put a bamboo pole of clothing into the pole holder (old type).
old HDB houses are so rich, still got maid hor.

That maid didn't die -- just hurt because she fell from below 4 storeys. Now when there is upgrading, HDB would change the old bamboo poles holders.
Regarding danger of pole dancing,it is not under this topic.

what i am trying to imply is that, accident do occurs here and there, even pole dancer can die, not only maids, and recently a bridegroom fell down from a hotel too. Therefore, u cannot take one case and generalise everything.
If u drive, becareful trees fall on you ya, especially at upper thomson, take care.
Angel,
I have told you bamboo pole holder would be one of the upgrading items when HDB does upgrading for old flats. It means the old pole holders have problems. One of the problems is taking much strength to use.
