huh? the usual typical singaporean style will prevail, they will smile back, take photos and offer MPs or ministers for a tea or lunch...exchange lots of good gesture. And when the ministers or MPs are gone, they start to curse and swear again, on the computer and start complaining on as many forums as they can. That's usual. -

i remember british lost their once great shipbuilding and marine industry because of strike and protest, what a waste, that industrial in the 80s was generating nearly a third of the country GDP, and when the workers goes on strikes, my idol, the iron lady, Margaret Thatcher tell them to close shops once and for all, this lead to a total wipe off of marine industrial in britiain. And today, they are counting the debts.
But thanks to those British strikers and unions, marine industrial in singapore and china are doing so well.

sometimes the govt has to strike a balance whether to blindly chasing after economy growth or stabilising the social harmony of the nation.
australia to me is like a timebomb waiting to explode as well.
the nos of indians, asians flooding into the country are trememdous. as far as i know, most aussie aint that tolerant. if u cross that border... u get it!!

but for $$$$$$$ no choice.................they said that kinda rascism and stupidity is a match for jobs at keppel shipyards,jurong shipyards,american MNC making pharmaceutical or even microchip manufacturing in singapore.these are not from me but the indians from india who have worked in singapore in singapore shipyards and in high tech MNC in singapore. they are curreently working and faced with nasty people but its all worth it as compared to 10 years werkin in spore.
so racism in australia = low pay in singapore

In Singapore, heavy duty industries such as shipyards and oil rig building is very tough, very hot and humid, singaporeans all lau lau liao, and the young ones prefer ION shopping centre more than a oil tanker engine room, so i think the indians working here are helping us. For me, dun work in yards or rigs, just buy their shares can liao ya. Sit back and relax,....see keppel goes up

Cos, these are labour intensive industries, you can hardly be productive or automate work processes, therefore there is no better and faster way of working, it is all base on hard labout, 7am at shipyard, wear full safety order from helmet to belts to boots, up the 10 storeys ship, bear the sun, the sound, the heat and the sweat, everywhere grinding, welding, knocking, tripping, cabling, piping, carrying, etc etc ...until sun down...can our youngs do it, i visit there, see the guard room only want to vomit liao, same smell like SAF uniform.But at the end of the day, these industries are one of the industrial that was not affected by the financial crisis, and the average bonus pay out was 9months...9 solid months.

after paying indians from india 9 months bonus in keppel shipyards in spore...the indians still prefer to goto australia to make n eat hamburgers.

in 1st place spore local company cant pay well...............MNC slightly better but so so only.
salary no future in spore...that kinda $$$ only good if u are a fresh schoolkid ........forever.

no, they go downunder to support their indians there, for indians, they work in a way as the more, the merrier, same like chinese,...they are like ants, once you see one black ant, you will see many coming, and sllowy there will occupy your countries, that is why Malaysia govt in KL is very worry about them,..because indian are damn good speaker with a twist of tongue. Bet the aust did not see it coming..but they are wary of them now.
And most indian workers here will end up in dubai earning US dollars, the pre requisite to enter dubai world heavy industriies is that you must work in Singapore before...
One dubai trained indian worker went to batam to wrork as a yard manager,called the indonesian stupid people, all hell break loose, so indians, ah ney, bangali, punjabi, tosainese, or whoever is darker than the indonesian, please dun go there, you may not come back with your head
