I know..there are many singaporeans who think the CPF is a great scheme. The CPF scheme was never publicly compared with other pension plans in the papers. Everything the govt gives to the citizens must be the best deal. This is so LOL. Developed nation but underdeveloped mentality.

hey u know why right? lol. The official reason is that people live longer. The secondary reason is that we can't manage our own freaking money. The real reason is? hehe....they cant afford the mass payout and drainage of their coffers.

I think you should be thankful as SIngaporean as your government really take care of you. AT least you have paper showing that you have asset. I am ex Singaporean now living in Canada. Do you know that we have to pay income tax every month? So, our Canadian government get our income tax monthly as compared to Singapore government deducting your CPF so that you can pay your HDB or whatever condo... Here we pay real cash on monthly basis for mortgage inaddition to monthly tax. Which is better? At least PAP scheme allows you to have a house to call your own. Though i am not a fan of PAP, but this CPF scheme is really a good one. Be thankful :)

you havent cover what other benefits is provided in canada for all the taxes you had paid. any monthly tax deduction is not a new thing, it is the same in australia. but you get to make relieve claim at the end of the year right? so why kbkb.
btw, the one we own is not rightfully us. it is a 99years old lease. the one u own in canada is 99 or 999 years? make a right comparison , and u will feel u r lucky to have left singapore.
