  I think LKY also born with silver-spoon.Coz i saw LKY youth-time photo,there was this picture that he n his wife take together,behind is his car.At that time,seldom ppl can afford a car.And also,his parents are able to send him to go England n study.This  show that his family background was actually quite rich.

  I believe this is also the reason LKY thought that he is an "elite",due to his rich family background.(although he is really an elite or not,thats remain controversial)
