Capturing of Aljunied GRC by WP

In the 2006 GE, Aljunied GRC was almost captured by the WP. WP got 45% of the votes. Do you all think it's possible for this GRC to be captured by WP in the upcoming election given the strong sentiments against PAP at the ground level due to the many unpopular policies impemented over the past 4 years?

The only way WP can take aljunied GRC is the removal of the eunos area from the GRC, because I feel most of that particular voting strength comes from that particular area. Thats my opinion.

Not only that. In Wikipedia, it stated some PAP members revealed that > ~ 60% of the votes for the PAP are in the area of Eunos and Bedok Resevoir.
Well, so it is saying that only the Hougang component and Serangoon areas support WP but narrowingly, while PAP got the majorities from Eunos & Bedok Resevoir, presumely due to the ethnic miniorites still support PAP.

Yes... I heard and read that PAP got quite a huge support from our ethnic minorities friends.. This kept them in power in the GRC. Actually i find it perplexing. From what I read in an article on democracy in Sp, opposition usually gets more support from our largest ethnic minority community. However, the results at aljunied showed otherwise.
Could it be due to the image of Wp in the area? ie,one whose main supporter group is the working class blue collar chinese? The irrational fear of voting for WP might have deterred our minority frens from voting for the opposition... Not to mention the mass appeal of the LTK to the teochew chinese in the area..
However, could it be different this time around? With the mass import of PRC FTs by PAP, this has made life inconvenient for minorities, especially with PRC at the front line service... I hope to see change this time round. Opposition has never won a single GRC since the start of this scheme in the 80's...

They can be extremely political... But at the end of the day it's who they voted for that counts... They are doing pretty well under the PAPPY govt. In fact the proportion of Indian ministers in the cabinet in higher than their racial proportion in the country.. I don't think we will be seeing a hindraf movement soon .. We can roughly guess who they'll vote for... -

Which community group would be most severely affected by the influx of PRC and Indians FTs?If nothing drastic is done... They would be the one to be disadvantaged the most as the trend continues....

It comprises of Serangoon, Bedok Reservoir, Defu, part of Hougang and Kovan areas.
You know the Crocodile Farm and Chomp Chomp? All under Aljunied GRC.
