I believe no, children usually follow their parents' religions cause they want their children to follow their religions. What are your views?
(Yes, I know that some parents who try not to influence their children and give them the freedom to choose.)
What do you think about this law?
The law in Germany provides the term of “religious majority” (Religionsmündigkeit) with a minimum age for minors to follow their own religious beliefs even if their parents don't share those or don't approve. Children 14 and older have the unrestricted right to enter or exit any religious community. Children 12 and older cannot be compelled to change to a different belief. Children 10 and older have to be heard before their parents change their religious upbringing to a different belief. There are similar laws in Austria and in Switzerland)
I don't think Children really understands or cares abt religion thingy. They probably just follow what the parents beliefs. When they grow up, then thats the time they branch out & 'explore' other religion i guess.
children in the sense of relationship, or children in the sense of age.....????
it makes a difference.
all YOUNG children have very little choice to decide for themselves.... be it milk powder, TV programmes, bed time etc.... so is religion any different.
but grown up children of adults, as in you are still a child of your parents, can choose whatever they want.
They are children but only until 21 years old.

Why? This is about freedom to choose religion not about religions.

I mean young children,
Yet wouldn't you ask the child: do you want milk powder A or milk powder B? Or do you want to watch TV program A or B? But it seems like they are stuck with one choice: to follow their parents' religion cause (for example) a Muslim wouldn't go to a Buddhist temple and heard what are the Buddhists learning unless their parents expose them to different religions.

Most of the time children follow parent's religion . Muslims are loyal to islam, even when they grow up. But my churchs many indians and chinese left their parent's religion namely hinduism, buddhism and taoism. But only when they are teenagers then they left not when they are children.

Is not they are loyal BUT
1: They can found their life partner in a mosque
2: (Most of) Their parents would have disowned them if, if they ever quit Islam.
If you mean "children" then probably not because the parents are regarded by society and law to be the ones who will be the best people to make important decisions for their children.
If you are asking if people can change their religion, or choose something different from their parents after they are no longer a "minor" (in SG is 21) then yes you can.
In Singapore, you are free to choose your own religion....it is against the laws to obstruct one from entering a religon that is legal and consented in Singapore ya.
My religion is $
