my friend always tell me CPF important... even when i ask her to think like this... do you want all $10 in your pocket or $2 in CPF or $8 in your pocket... She wants $8 in her pocket and $2 in CPF's pocket.... HUH?????????? because she said she won't get to spend the other $2 and can save it... but....... but.... can save yes, the money cannot use cannot take out, maybe you die at 50 yrs old the government take and spend for you... personally, i always like cash and invest on my own. screw CPF's 4%. 4% is shit. nowadays if your investment dun return 20% or more, very hard to keep up with the rest.

just my 2 cents hor, how many of u who are employed staff have more $$$ in their savings accounts than your cpf accounts?
think abt it. is cpf such a bad thing then?

cpf is good when hdb prices are low. When they are high, what good if u have $100,000 in your CPF today only for that entire amt to get locked up in ur property?

My CPF account has more $$ than my savings account :(
But my CDP account is worth more than my CPF :)

Having more money in CPF account than bank saving account does not necessarily mean that CPF is a good thing. It can mean that our pay is too low for us to have any savings!

my Saving a/c got more money than in my CPF a/c...... but my CDP a/c got more money than in my saving a/c leh..... -
It's harder to maintain savings and CPF. Your CPF only goes up while your savings goes up... and down...
purpose of CPF to help you survive when you get older is losing it's meaning. Or rather, the sugar coated lies are being revealed.

Just take it that they are depriving you of a meal every month when you withdraw your CPF money from them.
Mind you this $3 is your own money.
You are paying them 12 $3 cai peng meals every year for them to return your own money.

If one has more money in the CPF than savings acct, it could simply mean that the person does not have much $$ in his CPF.
