Some of them started to find jobs n later go on to become citizen. Unfortunately they failed to realize this country is not meant for retirement. The report last night mentioned that there is a plan in Jb to build a retirement village for the old citizen of this country.

Well one thing I am very clear about is this. I am a foreigner and I can probably say this on behalf of other foreigners. We do not intend to retire here nor do we intend to become official citizens. There must be a truly compelling reason for me to surrender my HK and Canada passports so as to become a Singaporean citizen. The least you could do is to acknowledge that LKY had once work towards Singapore independents.
So you have to decide where you call home to be....Canada, Hong Kong, or Singapore....and make a commitment to your decision.
