If the pinoy/pinay is paid $1,800 excl and a Singapore's graduate is paid merely $1,200 to $1,800, isn't there something seriously wrong somewhere?
A pinoy here who merely earns $900 can retire rich in the Philippines, taking into consideration the favourable exchange rate for them. What about the young Singaporean facing inflation, declining wage rate, nature of job shifting from permanent to temporary, declining CPF contribution, narrower economic cycles of boom and burst?
That's only in IR, can't I contradict myself when event and enviroment changed??
A person who knows how to contradict himself/herself are smart people asking question all the times within themselve ya.
LKY also contradict many time himself, last time said stop at 2, now ask peoples to give more...

Now listen probably, from internal source, every MP or Non MP attending parliament for debate are entitled to $250 dollars allowances. Obviously, our MP can really debate, just talk, sleep or dream of something, and you get $250

They read thru the script. Not debate. All prepared in advance.
If not, why mps throw questions and ministers sure got answers. Dont need to think, Just read the script.

What is "Non MP"?Is it NMP and NCMP?
Paying extra $250 per sitting to MPs as an incentive for them to debate.Workable idea!

Let me refresh you:
"Let me just tell you from my HR resouces in IR, Philippinos service peoples are paid $1,800/per mth excluding OT and allowances with full boarding and air tickets. Now where are the singaporeans??
Now listen probably, i went to Universal studio recently, and i met my old poly mates who are in bunny suit, another few of them as usher and guest relation officer, all NTU and NUS graduates, paid range from $1200 net in bunny suit to $1800 net as officer. I wonder how come graduates are working as service peoples in Universal studio...if you dun believe, go down and ask them yourself. A total waste of talent and resources
Now, if graduated Singaporeans are taking merely $1200 to $1800, what do you expect from the lower educated Singaporeans??"
I ask you again! If the pinoy/pinay is paid $1,800 excl and a Singapore's graduate is paid merely $1,200 to $1,800, isn't there something seriously wrong somewhere?

Isn't the IR also a representation (albeit a micro-representation) of Singapore? Mind you, the above scenerio are not about the past and present as you have twisted it
Angie, if you can't keep straight to issue on debate, I understand. Don't twist the issue beyond.

4sgie,
Cool now lah, i haven't tell you about the second part, why you make an issue out of me. On further investigation at Universal studio, I manage to talk to some of those U grad there, in fact they are saying, because Universal Studio needs apprentices to start up and they prefer U grad who will be future managers or stage organiser once the current experience American's managers and supervisors had finished their contract of service here, Universal studio is expected to run fully by Singaporeans. And because singapore wants to protray a good english speaking society, they get the U grads, not china prc or indian...it will mess up the languages, just like you go jap or hk disneyland, mickey can speak jap or cantonese to you...some more can scold you (they thot tourist mostly dunno jap and cantonese). And even when they speak english in mickey suit, the western also cannot understand them.
These group of graduates are fresh graduate from communication and art..they are cheerful and most importantly, Singaporeans.
In a long run, their paid will overtake those pinoys are IR who are under 2 years contract only. Hope you understand before anyhow shoot hor...take my high heel and knock your head then you know..

Basically, we dun wan our undergraduates to think that when they are graduated, they can have ten of thousands to earn per month, condos and bungalow to stay in, luxury cars to sit on and a handsome rich hunk or beau to go along. You got to be realistic, you must the base up wage system, then you truly understand the ground and able to manage it better. Organisation in Jap and USA put/attach their grads on the ground to gain experience. Many organisation in Singapore do the reverse, straight away gives the graduate a manager post leading to him/her thinking big and forget about thinking for the lower people and therefore managed without a ethical mindset on human. They can be good in strategy, but without understanding of the human factor, they can fail miserably.
There is no much different in grad pay and a mid level work pay, the only different is that a grad will move up faster and quickly in term of both pay structure and corporate ladder. UNDERSTAND!!

U are rite on this... yestersay i saw a few pap mps giving their views on the NCMP and NMP debate... I must say that i dun even know some of them existed. these ppl are just opportunist out out to please their boss... they criticise abt the scheme but they voted for it eventually. The only person who voted against the change is LTK.
Why do we need a debate then? When all the pappies will just follow the boss? Oppostion needs 1/3 of the seats!!!

it is part of the Consitutional Rules and Regulation to have debate, but frankly, for Singapore, you are right, everything is actually pre planned, confirmed and chopped.
PAP MPs also a data base to answer questions from the public and oppositions, they are indeed very well prepared. Things can be done over a golf or dinner with prc gals.
Mah: Good shot, u got a birdie PM.
LHL: hahaha...thanks shorty, how is thing at your side
Mah: well, peoples are complaining flats are getting higher and higher, do you want to put a stop on it
LHL: Are u mad, then how to collect tax and get their CPF monies? Let move on to the next hole.
Mah: Just like i thought, let them go and grumble, as long as money flow in, careless if they hv to struggle with foreigners or PRs. Ok, let increase prices.
LHL: Hahaha...that is why i like shorty man....whack the bugger...WHACK!!!

The budget debates, especially during the Committee of Supply stage, is not about money! MPs do not seem interested in how the govt spend the money. Of course, PAP MPs have trust in the govt in spending its money. But it is still their responsibility to approve it and so they should be interested.
During the debates, instead of commenting on how the money is spent, they discuss mostly about policies. Usually, an MP raised a motion to cut the budget by $10, then he discussed about policy matter. The minister also took the opportunity to announce new policies.
I believe they misuse the procedure to discuss other matters. This is how the 80+ elites do thing improperly. I’ve commented this in another forum but they still do the same way. They don’t think they were wrong or they don’t know how to change.

It's so sad that the public perception of MPs are that they are just "yes people" in Parliament.
Haiz.

Beside all other perks and their own businesses, with a gauranteed net tax free allowances of 10k per month, what do you expect??? saying "No" will be a sin to their bank chest. As smart peoples, we should agree with them.
