Are u sure HK Disney is losing money? HK attracted 10 times more tourists than sg. Many of them are repeating tourist for shopping and eating. They are definately better than sg on tourism. PPl there are more polite and service oriented now compared to the past and with VAT free..things are alot cheaper than sg.As for Macau, communist chinese are too fearful of the effect of a bankrupted Macau than letting its ppl go on free for gambling.
HK disney me just went there, no people, very good, can plays many time without Q, I like it, it is cool and nice, same like LA disneyland, but too bad, a bit smaller, half day can finish all already, and yes, they are losing money, that is why they are expanding. Shanghai is building a bigger one in 2015, which is a big setback to HK one, but then u can find mickey speaking Shanghainese to you.
But on the overall, yes, HK and Macau attracted more tourist, not just becos of Disney, can be others, like foods (yummy!!), shopping, fashion, nitelife is good there too. On the other hands, if got a long historical background and most tourist visit their historical places, especially the westerners, afterall, not far off, they were once their colonies..
