well, in my taiwan National assembly, if you sleep, someone would knock or slap you out of no where, cos the members need to pay super attention as there are many powerful oppositions argueing for their rights, we are also famous for fighting in parliament. Even viewers watch attentively, especially when the boxing show start.
But in Singapore, it is so boring..no powerful opposition, so that is why many slept thru the session. It just like going thru the motion, i believe if there is an option not to attend, most will not turn up.

i had a colleague who used to sleep sitting up...to the extent that he was snoring away (he is morbidly obese)
he'd deny it all saying he was meditating
maybe TCH is also meditating? on what he's going to spend his latest bonus on?

comes to show that:
1.the "debate" is pointless since things has already been decided and taking about it don't lead to anything.
2.the "debate" is a complete waste of time,to the point it has become painful to jus stay awake.as illustrated by productivity millionster......

Its common to sleep in Parliament even in other countries but when WKS talks I expect people to bring their own blanket,pillow and teddy bear cuz its story telling time.

But i am sure for working so tiredly, he deserves another round of pay hike in addition to the 8% as claimed by people on the net.
One shot pay hike 50% sui sui so no need keep hiking so soon. Less admin work and saves cost.

To avoid misunderstanding, they should mount a LED light display at his foreword to blink when he is thinking and is not sleeping. The faster it blink, the higher the productivity! Not blinking means sleep.

i mean we all slept before in seminars and those long lectures, but at least we are not in the dim light, but they are different, righ infront of a public audiences and still can sleep, really admired their heckcare attitude, i think if the camera man said "Ok, camera off" all sleep immediately.
