Of course town council has to increase the S&C. Remember some town councils loss funds for investing our money last year. You and me have to pay lah. There is no other choice

I overheard a rumor that some people very scared of hearing news of giving rebates. They rumored that a hike can follow a rebate. Of course i dun believe rumors lah.

got, already tell u housing price is going up and stamp tax is going up, all these are sign of going up...for PAP, you must learn to use the maya calender, they also show sign of end of the world coming...by the way, yr ark need to pay conservatives charges meh, if so, then increase those tenants rental lah, so simple.

my side also increase but only by $4. so still managable
i remember that last year, there were 4 months that i only paid 50% of the conservancy charges, so that more than made up for the increase this time. :p
now everything is increasng, so i think increasing by $4 is reasonable .

now for the rest of the your life you have to pay extra $4 per month you say its reasonable.

Increase is ok, make sure the services also increase, otherwise it of no sense, but i bet they will pay a singaporean aunty a $100 more and ask her to clean 5 blocks instead of 1 block. That will be Cheaper, Better and Faster.

ya, you paid 50%, and they give only 50% of the service to your block, actually it can be better. -
GET MACHINES TO CLEAN THEM!!CHEAPER,FASTER AND BETTER IN THE LONG RUN!HUMANS FALL SICK AND SOME CANT UNDERSTAND THINGS AND ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS WHEN THEY GET OLD.BEST THEY GET A REAL ENGINEER TO DESIGN A MACHINE SO THE OLD PERSON SIMPLY SIT ON IT AND CLEAN PLACES SLOWLY AND EFFICIENTLY.

What's the fuss. Sooner or later charges will go up. Polytechnic/ITE already increase school fees. I feel relieved that the revised charges for my flat is only $3.50 a month, no more than the cost of a bowl of wanton mee. Could have been more. Very reasonable and affordable.

but some people only eat maggie mee...how? $3.50 for 10 packets at Sheng Siong supermkt, per day, 2 meals can last for a week.
I got an ideal, why not we sweep our own corridor, throw our own rubbish at the dump, take care of our lifts by taking turns, then dun hv to pay conservative charges, can the govt agree on this, u see this is call Cheap Better and Faster
Cheap, is the Town council save all the adminstration cost, they can retrench some staff there too,
Better, we as resident taking care of our own backyard is better because we feel owned and this belong to us in our daily walk in and out of here
Faster, as we clean our home, we might as well clean our own corridors, throw our rubbish in the dump, and each household in the same corridors take turns to clean the lift surroundind and inside of the life and also the staircases, furthermore, you got the RC committee to look into it, if not they alway know how to eat and organise tour and singing or dancing competition only. This will be faster.
So, if the govt agree, no more conservative charges for all HDB flats..if all Singaporeans agree, i go down and talk to shorty Mah

In PRC we have to take our Rubbish from our apt to the central dumping place. No cleaner outside your corridor and only common area will be cleaned.
Unfortunately, we pay alot as compare to Spore because Condo mgt is a shit corrupted lot and behaviour like an emperor. So we often see resident gather and object the condo mgt and replace them in quick pace. Some estates are lucky to have strong resident committee that act as check and balance, but very rare.
So I think it is very fortunate in Sg that condo mgt are ok. However, for HDB, the problem is that it rely too much on foreign workers with low productivity.

Now, they hike the price and no more half price?
Might as well dun half price just maintain the same thus no hike? Still get more like this right? Imagine all the possible admin costs involved? who pay and pay that?

hitman yr idea not bad, if they convert all to the use of machines think the price can go down. but those old uncles and uncles + foreign workers will be out of work.haha

Better not, they will said maintaining and purchasing of machines is expensive, then increase the charges on us again.If u dun believe those coca cola vendor machine are selling more expensive than kopitiam.

Automation is cheaper if you buy Chinese machines. I got a robotic vacum cleaner for 350 yuan (70 SGD) running around the house by itself with selfrecharge that sweep and mop the floor.
The dish washer cost only 100SGD and do not need special plates. It even has a self cleaning function. My solar system cost me 350SGD that provide constant hot water and aircondition at near to nothing in utility bill. My hydroponics grow chilly, curry leaves, kang kong, small Kalang in my backyard that cost nothing.

Maybe during election time, they will reduce the fees back to the original amount for a few months and claim they subsidize your fees.

Actually, why can't residents go to their respective TC and ask them to be "cheaper, better and faster" ?
Just following what the minister wants what.
