They will be vote out so soon but take time to change. with 60 percent they still have some say but no more that powerful. reduce in power. it the older generation that give them too much power. If our opposition is good the last election they can win at least 1 or 2 GRC but PAP bad they worse. So you want to vote for bad or worse?

Vote for whichever party that places serving the public as top priority not one that only is interested in self serving.

I agree with you but the last election you look at some opposition perform, they seem to be lack of idea to serve people. Why Mr Cham can won vote because he is serving the public as top priority. look at the vote most of them came from HDB estate, those who vote for PAP were from the private estate which is interested in self serving. I live in Toa Payoh Lor 8 and I know he is a very good MP better than PAP one.

So far so good about Mr Chiam. He is the opposition I respect.People vote the political party to serve them not voting a political party to serve themselves. We pay them to do the job, not as if they are not paid and so resort to self serving. and the moreover they are drawing world class salaries!
With world class paid ministers, we expect world class service from them to the public

MM LKY cannot tolerate any Singaporean to compete with him in politics, and he has the arrogant gumption to tell Singaporeans to tolerate competition from foreigners ?
He has certainly lost his senses - when the competition from foreigners that Singaporeans faced were initiated on the insistence by LKY and the PAP.
This influx of foreign workers was deliberate to lower the costs of the GLCs operating their web of services to the captive Singaporeans in a closed market monopolised by the PAP operated GLCs.

To sum up everything , they are where they are not for the interest of the public but seems like for purpose of self serving.

Internally within Sg, I believe LKY was referring to the Gurkhas soldiers. -

Not civil war. I read that article before but can't trace it anymore.What LKY said was if opp comes in for 1 or 2 elections and things turn messy, the option is to send in the army to restore order. kiss democracy byebye.

I've read the article on termasek review and I was trying to trace it for forumites to read but it is a diff process to retrace it again.
What LKY said was that if there is a freak election with the opp coming into power and turning things messy, (by this, he was referring to opp rolling back on PAP policies or things not going the way of the PAP), the army will be send in.
This made me wonder as I read the article. How LKY or PAP has that sort of power? Given that in one or two elections times, LKY will be gone (dead).
It just means that certain military units don't report in hierarchy manner. You go to the Gurkha unit and come back here and tell us if you see any Sg flag within the compound. If no Sg flag, who are they affiliated with?
