The neighours can gossips and talk behind your back. But not step into your house, sit at the sofa and make comments.
A friendly neighbor came to the host house on the host's invitation but the host brutalized his guests and bound the freedom of his own family member, persecuting some of them so that his own family members live in fear of the host. That gives the neighbors every right to tell the other neighbors that the host is a villain in disguise.

But Singapore may very well close its border and shut itself off from the rest of the world as in North Korea. You both are the same family run state. The first is a fascist while the latter a communist.
