  This guy used to be my family doctor. I remember him contesting as a NSP man in 1997, his first foray into politics.

  If he meant : Due to surivial and supporting family, one cannot help being selfish...

  He generalised all of us, but i am not selfish, so are my frens and sister like you. If he talks like this in a rally, sure loose one, maybe cannot even get back his deposit.

  No, he said that we depends on govt too much and end up being cultured to be selfish and very individualistic, that is not true, many of us dun depend on govt, we worked and studied ourselves out of it. Nor is our govt selfish, they had always said, Singaporean will alway come first, and if you look at the Renci charity show, with LHL as guest of honor, it shows that both sg govt and peoples are not selfish. We understand that without a good and stable society, we cannot function, we owe it to the society.

  Therefore, just from a political point of view, this Doctor had make a wrong statement, and he is worth our support.

  sori, should be he is not worth our support...if fact, to me, he himself is selfish and self centred to think in a narrow minded way
