Is voting out PAP answers to our problems?

Yes, it good to earn good money elsehwere and return to enjoy the sea and laksa in Penang as tourist.
One day, Singapore will have beautiful sea and laksa too where Singaporean will return as tourist while making a living elsewhere.
I believe the time has come with more opposition in the parliament. At least, I dont think we buy the idea that candidates from PAP is the elite. The quality of the opposition should be equally good if not better.

to ensure good quality, CV and status is only a start, we have yet to see how they fair themselves as MP or govt, it can be good and also can be bad,..this election will be the biggest IR casino bets for Singaporeans. It will set a future destination for the people of Singapore. So, dun play play...think before placing your bet..!!!

Come election time, just remember to vote for your future and your kids' futures.
Nothing to do with billion dollar investment losses with no accountability, increasing GST to help the poor, rising HDB flat prices, 8 month TC bonuses during a recession, low paying jobs being created, rising foreign population, people calling you lesser mortals or sheep, "cheaper, better, faster" , packed MRT carriages every hour of the day, "Get out of my elite uncaring face" etc.

that's right, what we vote today, will change and affect our decendents living and way of life. Because our stupid older generation voted LKY and his PAP, that is why we are here, can't blame nobody, should blame those uncles and aunties for their poor foresight, and the funniest of all, now they so thick skin and still dare to complain about the ruling party instead of us. It is all their fault ya...as the saying goes, "if you make a mistake, it is pardonable, but if you make the same mistake twice, it must be damn stupid of you" So, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, comarades and members, place your bet wisely!!!

Hi Angel, why label all older generation as stupid?
During that time PAP also a opposition in the southern state of malaya.
PAP figthing with Umno and PAP needs lots of supporters. And during that time, majority of chineses was a very strunch supporter of PAP.
And PAP that time, needs supporters. So tom dick or harry who support PAP are welcome. Be it english or chinese or dialect educated, all welcome. Anybody are welcome if they support PAP.
That time, PAP strong hold is Spore, where got pple ever thought that PAP has damaged as it is now?

so that they wake up this time round, the problem with Older singaporeans is they keep criticising the govt, but when i come to election, they will said "aiya, pap win one lah, no need to think so much lah" so it end up like a culture here, alway give up and said PAP wins, pap wins, no need to vote they also win. Like this give the young ones like us a very vague picture of what is going on...and in the end we also follow them, like father, like daughter. -

I am giving LKY the medicine he taught us, he said in these world, to be a leader, you must apply sweet and sour to your peoples, if not you cannot survive. Just like he increases prices but also give rebates. The trick is apply the sour first, let them grumbles, then later give abit of sweets, and they will forget everything. I think it works, most Singaporeans forget about Durai, Minister Teh, etc etc..so, it dun matter if you are black or white ...MJ -
The alternative is to get a free life abroad away from this non sense scums lky and his cronies.
In Singapore you can't be the man you aspire to be because you're expected to be an obedient servant of lky . . . with no voice and rights completely at the mercy of lky and his lackeys. NO.environment for good people to be brought up and educated. -

Just like giving birth.Before giving birth, it was so so so painful, must need injection and the pain cal last for many hours.
After give birth, the pain gone and one will forget how painful it is.
And all will be happy.

I think same goes to sex, you get high, but after a few weeks, you cannot remember the feeling, and some even can't remember his/her sex partner face, or for that matter, who he/she was....Very simply put it, when was the last time public transport prices increase, what was the reason behind it, and how much was increased, and what was the public reaction. ALL forgotton rite???
That is why our govt has an easy job than most other govt, because they can make us forget and then out of nowhere rise prices of essential goods. And yet they are well paid ya...and paid not for rising prices, but they are paid for the ability to tame the ground and make us forget about the past increment in prices, only those minor cut are kept re- emphasized so that in the end you remember only those cut, but never the rising.

Do Singaporeans really forget about the last painful increase - even when the increase had been introduced in such minisicular portions ?
Or is it not a fact that Singaporeans will find themselves trapped in the endless monthly cash bind when bills have to be paid - and suddenly find themselves having to tighten their belts yet again ?
Has it not been a case that our money continue to drip out of our wallets like a dripping tap that empty a water tank over time ?
Why will the angel avoid telling the truth, or is the angel preferring to soften the propaganda and promote the PAP's interest in a backhanded way ?
Was the Singapore Government paid for their ability to tame the ground, or did the PAP pay themselves for cheating Singaporeans from the Truth ?
The Singapore Government got an easy job to govern Singapore as the PAP had fixed a clean sweep for themselves in Parliament - so as to be able to pass any legislations as they pleased - that will even disallow ONE person to hold a public protest about anything, let alone about the rising cost of living in Singapore.
Unders such circumstances, can Singaporeans as a collective lot be reminded of what hit them over the last few months or years - when prices keep creeping up by 0.5 percent or 0.01 cent per unit consumed ?
What does an angel know about the pain from price increases, when bills are settled by Daddy - and especially when the angel will not even remember the various sexual escapades with the multiple sex partners that she had ?
Be assured, Singaporeans do remember the price increases when they have to force themselves to tighten their belts when cash is short before the next wage increase or cash rebate is received.
Is it any wonder that this Government will return some cash at the end of each year - $200 to $400 per working person, only to milk more from the wallet - like the increase to property tax that wipe this returned amount at one go, and milk you more from the new price increases in utilities and transport fares ?
Only one - who will forget the ecstacy given by a favored sex partner - will be able to forget anything - including the pain inflicted on oneself.
Speak for yourself if you wish to be as escapist from reality, and do not attempt to speak for every other Singaporean who remembers.

"Talk" will always be "Talk" - until the opportunity is given for "Action" to be made.Anything can be made "Cheap" by one's own actions - simply not to give that single opportunity for oneself to try out those who have sacrificed and volunteered to serve the Singaporean Public.
The Singaporeans in the 1950s heard LKY "talk" alot - even without any experience - and gave him that "opportunity" to perform.
Those present in the 1960s gave LKY a second chance - even after the failure of his insistent merger with Malaysia, which was pressed ahead with a pseudo referendum exercise.
Will the present generation give those in the Alternative Parties that same opportunity to prove their "Talk" ?

Uncle,I think as a singaporean, we have the right to question whether the opposition can do the job or not, it is not a matter of they cannot do it like PAP does, the matter is, we are afraid that it may end up they rule it the same same as their predecessor, the PAP, then we will have to suffer another 50 years for nothing. So, you have to respect that question "will the opposition able to do the jobs?" ?

Each Chinese dynasty was toppled by poor farmer uprising. Singapore has no farmers and our ancestor from the poor southern chinese roots do not have a history of casuing any uprising. These uprises are always led from the North Easthen Chinese who MM claimed that they are supposed to be more intelligent than the southerners. Perhap the true is the south has abundance in supply and had never become more hungry than the NEasterner.
Anyway, it is useless to talk about changing PAP, they have a passing grade for governing. The problem with them is that they have became so complacent that they have lost the first love of governing in exchange for the gold or silvers.
