  sorry, it is the costs of living not standard of living.   

  The constant rising in the costs of living causes many problems.  In a way, they are the ones generating problems and then point fingers at the people.    Pay them million to do this.

  It's the disparity of income. Many of the lower incomes and retirees have hard time chasing with the rising cost and competitions from migrant workers.

  True.  I have my muslim colleague told me that majority of the old malay folks are not rich, earns not much and are depending on the withdrawal of CPF to go of haj and to provide kids for education.   Unfortunately , in the recent years the govt has extended the withdrawal of CPF and in a way making it difficult for them to proceed with their plans.

  For your info,those PRCs I come across, be it professional or low skill workers are here only to earn $$$ afterwhich they will return to China.  They said they prefer China, some said they prefer their china govt

  PRCs not stupid.   The only one I know of from an acquaintance - stays on become citizen is working in govt sector, holding high position.   She wants takes advantage on the benefits on education that is why become citizen.

  Waste so much money and time yet gain little.

  Only baby bonus. Where got enough?

  Baby wont grow meh?

  And it takes lots of time and energy and $$$$ to see a baby transform into kids into teenagers.

  Especially 0 yr to 17 yr, parents have to spend lots of money ok? Not few thousand.

  So, please dont bluff us by saying best efforts. Not enought!

  Now they are slapping themselves.

  If we take our humans production as natural process, an instinct of our survival and civilisation, we would think differently.

  But instead, we took in economical factors and balance the issue on birthrate, we are simply out of our homo saipen nature...for all living creatures produces as much as they can to dominate this planet, and we as human, are not producing....then,...something is very wrong.

  There are many complaints here in this forum.  I suggest if the complaints are affecting you, you feel uncomfortable about them, go request sgforums to shut down Speakers' Corner

  it had alway been an honest mistake, but that was that time.

  I think education and knowledge brought about both good and bad, good being a higher level society, bad being less birthrate due to the knowledge of having to take care, paying high cost to it and less personal enjoyment. Therefore education and knowledge bring about fears and selfishness to it citizens.

  So, by instilling education with great emphasis on it, LKY might had make a mistake in educating us.
