Agreed!
i assume this must be one of the so-called talented ones from the ‘pool of talent’ that some minister had been bragging about or is he simply misleading Singaporeans.
Honestly, most the the MPS are the same – in Singlish it is ‘talk cock’ rubbish.
Watching our parliamentary proceedings – a sham and a shame!
Singaporeans – wake up lar and understand this: we have morons and self-serving people in the incumbent govt and for the ridiculous salaries that they pay themselves – Singaporeans have been relegated to the bin. U think i m insulting locals – no the truth is there for all to see
All that matters is how much they can squeeze from the public. Why the FT policy? – my guess- to garner votes. Is not this prostituting oneself for short-term gains.
I am disgusted and ashamed that these are the type of leaders who go around preaching about ethics, principles, honesty, responsibility, integrity. Hogwash lar!
Till we change and vote in oppostion parties, we are stuck we this one-party dictatorship and mind u all that you are going to get is convoluted answers which is no answer but rather half-truths over many issues that directly and indirectly affect Singaporeans.
Yes, be angry, be bitter and hopefully be wise and translate them into votes – not for the incumbent party or at least deny them a majority. They are redundant and clutching at straws. They are spent and a bane to the nation.

Well said. I shall the same sentiment.
Generally, Singaporeans find living in the fence set by them are acceptable and they feel comfortable with it. Many of these people's perception are so short sighted. They compare Singapore with countries having wars and protests against government and draw conclusion that we should not demand and ask for more since Singapore is free from these.

there is a difference between the law, and if someone tells you to go eat shit, and you do...
now, if the MIW tells you to eat shit, and you do, you're dumber than i thought you were...
coz they can pass a law about the GST, but they can't pass a law telling me that i must live like a worm..
you want to go obey them when they say that, you deserve to live like a worm

Bear bear,
Laws is created and pass down by people, and people are born naturally to make mistake, so, there are flaws and hopes in laws and policies, it is not like they ask you to eat shit, you got eat shit, it is up to you to go about exploring those flaws and mistakes they make so that you can avoid eating shit and end up eating cakes.
Just like those MIW, they need to wear all white in National Day and PAP delegate's meeting, but that doesn't mean that they cannot wear red color underwear ya.
The problem with Singaporeans is that they are nurtured to be guided, lack of independency and fear of losing face and dignity. And they still can said they are very educated and well disciplined. Taking that weakness, the govt exploited them.
Providing basic housing for people not their top priority lah.
Integrating new citizens is the top priority. Yes, that is part of HDB's job now apparently.
That's why every few days you get reports in the newspapers telling you who is in charge of integrating new citizens and which events will be for new citizens and how much funds they will be setting up to help intergrate new citizens.
The matter of sufficient housing has already been dealt with by releasing a few thousand new flats for the 100,000 new citizens and PRs every year. Not only that, flats are also very "affordable".
It is hard to predict short term demand for housing..
But not hard to collect the Million $$$ salary... which you don't deserve.**

what a disGrace fool!!!! how u know ah Mah got short arse???
What that call for HDB now? BTO?? Why is it so difficult to release more land to build more BTO? why control the supply when there is confirmed demand? I believe the government this is an excuse for raising HDB price in the future. Otherwise, it is a government plot to sell more land to the private developer and squeeze more money out of you and me.
With only less than 20% land in Singapore Island that probably can be inhabited, why we can't build more bridges to say Johore and Batam so that those riches and foreigners can buy land and house there to live and than return to Singapore for work?
Surely we dont have so much land to cater for the 6.5 millions foreigners.
HDB is a cash cow.
Must feed fat fat.
This raises a few questions:
However, there are cases where short-term demand is not met because it is very hard to “predict” such demand, such as for housing.
“This is because there is always a lead time involved,” she said without elaborating more on it.
1. Why didn't the article include a direct quote supporting the topic?
2. Didn't the opposition push her to elaborate further?
3. If not, why not?
4. How difficult can it be to predict the demand when they're the ones controlling the demand? Wouldn't you expect that they'd have calculated immigration quotas ahead of time?

Maybe they have this assumption that for every 10 new residents into the country, they need to build an additional 1 flat to house them only.
This is from recent reports which state 100,000 new citizens and PRs versus releasing 10K new flats every year.
The new facilities they built can't even replace the old facilities.
Sell e land for profit to develop JP2 & Centris, spend $24m for a smaller Boon Lay bus interchange. So now they earn more property tax.
So now, we become a joke of the world, SBS needs to operate 2 Bus Int at 1 location, 1 specially for NTU and 1 for general svs. Even the new int w/o NTU svs, bus drivers alrdy kpkb no place to park, no resting time wat's not.
I think soon Clementi new int would have tis shortage of space problem w/ e high NUS student/ staff loading.
Do our LTA, scholars and Minister care? Maximise land use until so cat.
Next mth Airshow going to exploit Changi Airport car park and tour coach parking bay. Dun be surrpised to see FULL car park though you're in a hurry to send family or friends off or picking them up or tourist need to wait for their coach to arrive in the bus jam

They want to promote ppl to take public tpt and Grace Fu says abt our infrastructure.
But thing is, they're building smaller and smaller facilities. They want to create stampede is it?
Now how to start special express svs to Sentosa w/ no bus int spacing?
