US,Europe , Aus and Canada attracts the best talent

comparedf to singapore. Can such a country ever hope to attract the best talent in the world to settle here? Is it little wonder that Singapore is getting the “discards” from China and India and not their crème de la crème who prefer to migrate to U.S, Canada, Europe and Australia?

USA is talent based meritocracy and australia is actually better cos its skills/expereince based meritocracy where u have the leeway of being pushed up the ladder throug formal training and education.
But in singapore it cheaper, better, faster meritocracy

oz system is rather based on i see your face,,,i dont like u...u are fired.
skills in oz are outdated dinosaur stuff dated from 1940s....crude blobs of metal.and they demand state of the art while not practising it.not much different as an amateur PAP system in the pupae stage.
there are some white "skilled" people who are not licensed electricians but lie their way thru years of doin unlicensed electrical stuff things with management closing one eye,they have "skilled"people who know next to nothng about making things work and dont know how to repair of systems and components themselves.....they have problems tightening a simple screw to secure a metal ring properly.......they use a ruler to misalign precision movements destroying machinery in process....they love to blame...they love to sit down and threaten others.....they want the jobs and salary without werkin fer it.
what they are able to do is to bend 5 inch metal bars with their bare hands and file a block of metal flat....they do not want to make anything except cupboards and metal coffins with no moving parts.
not helping them...not my fight......their industries n town hasnt progressed for 15 years and it shall be so.

Its not like what u think. Australia has the 2nd best human development index in the world and these problems u stated also exist elsewhere, also exist in Sg civil service Are u saying Singapore is any better in terms of productivity, recent news says singapore's productivity has fallen significantly.
But truth is australia is a better economy than singapore's because they are not concerned abt GDP, they have better value added jobs to begin with
Its of no use developing their towns cos the place is simply too big and unlike singapore's they dont need to show flashy stuff to attract investment as they have natural resources.

yup......they are losers in terms of technology but they have litium needed to make batteries in cell phone,coal to provide heat and industries,uranium for power plants,gold in all forms yet to be u covered all over oz..... etc etc. in it.
their jobs are not really value added....more like primitive.its like u just stumbled upon a group of cavemen who need money and they have gold inlaid on walls of cave.
towns are meant to be developed and industries are made using the american model which is successful.the oz version has none and their industrial might is some dump truck with soil and dirt.they have no industrial might unlike the usa who uses some intelligence.all they do is dig the soiul...put into some furnace and presto.....out comes their product...it is a crude primitive industry even Attila the hun would agree.

What is yr definition of value added? Despite the Singapore's current "breakthru" economic policies, they failed to create value added jobs. it all the same old menial jobs withlower pay now. The true value added aspect of a job is its progression aspects, renumeration package and benefits.

In thats sense Australia is a natural economy driven by natural inputs. Singapore's a freak economy which relies heavily on market pricing, speculation, property market, security, foreign investment, monetary flow ect.Such an economy is nothing but a gambling game and will face numerous problems. Singapore model is GDP based and its flawed. the GDP input is thru mostly taxes paid by people rather than from economic activity. There is not much economic activity in Singapore, there is one thing ,however - Speculation, artificial manipulation of market, inflation, price monopoly, anti competition, debt traps, exploitation of cheap labour. the GDP growth is mostly achieved with these.
