Casino will fail

A heavy betting is placed on the Casinos. With the current world economic situation and the failure of Casino operation worldwide, it is clear the new Casinos in Singapore can only last for several months. The irony is the bulk of the Casino jobs are given to PRC, Phillipinos and third world working class. The Chinese Government is not foolish. New policies against corruptions are now brewing in China Beijing. It is clear they will limit the travel of Chinese officials to Singapore for gambling. By then, the Integrated Resorts will be failures.
Already, many Singaporeans are jobless and yet house prices are artificially propped up thru the influx of foreigners to create an artificial market. The bet is on the success of the casinos to sustain these newly created pool of tax payers.
Do you think this will work? How would the true blue Singaporeans look at these?
Also, if the Casinos fail, which can be easily foreseen, what will happen to the 1.5 million Non Singaporeans but labeled as Singaporeans? We will have a 1.5 Millions Singapore passport holders scattered out of Singapore. Eventually, the Singapore passport will have NO creditability and No value internationally. -
JUST LIKE DA CRAZY HORSE STRIP CLUB IN SPORE.OPEN LESS THAN 2 YEARS THEN CLOSE DOWN DUE TO POOR BUSINESS.
IR WILL BE CROWDED BECAUSE WE ALL WANNA SEE ITS CARPETS,LIGHTINGS AND FOOD THERE,,,,,OTHER THAN THAT GAMBLING IS LIKE ENTERING AN AMUSEMENT PARK IN 1980S.
IF THE CASINOS WANNA DO BUSINESS..THEN THEY SHOULD FOLLOW LAS VEGAS STYLE WHERE EVERYONE IN THE WERLD GOES THERE SINCE IT WAS SETUP IN DESERT AFTER WW2.
THEY REMAINED UP TILL TODAY DUE TO TONS OF NON-STOP FLOW OF ECONOMICAL BUFFET FOOD,LOBSTERS,SMOKED SALMON ETC.THESE ARE FOOD OBTAINED FROM ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA.
WITHOUT FREE-FLOW OF FOOD,LAS VEGAS WULD HAVE DRIED UP LIKE THE DESERT LONG AGO.
I DOUBT IT WILL WERK.....THE BEST QUALITY FOOD IS LACKING AS COMPARED TO WESTERN COUNTREIS.NO ONE WOULD WANT A LAKSA OR CHAR KUAY TEOW IN A BUFFET IN CASINO.....THEY WANT FRESH CRABS.PRAWNS N THE BEST RESTAURANTS WITH SOFT SUCCULENT STEAK WITH AN INCH OF THICKNESS AT LEAST.SOMETHING U WOULD GET INA 5 STAR HOTEL BUFFET IN THAILAND.

BUT FROM HOW PAP AND THOSE OLD FOLKS ARE RUININ THE SHOW IT WILL SEE SIMILAR FATE AS DA CRAZY HORSE CLUB.
SO CASINO WOULD FAIL FOLLOWING THEIR 1 DIMENSIONAL FLAWED STRATEGY.
ONLY ONE CONTROLLED BY DA AMERICANS WOULD SURVIVE........THE REST CAN START NOW TO LIQUIDATE THEIR ASSETS IN CASINO.

I think LKY already pre-empted this....that China may restrict tourists to Singapore. Well, a secret deal may have been struck already....who knows? haha.

Yes I agree. Our planners are greedy, not one but two casinos are being built. The owners of the casinos are also facing financial problems. Look at Dubai World, too greedy, building grand projects at the same time. These are lessons to be learned and my hope is that our planners be more wary, in future

wants lobsters,fresh parwns.oysters,fresh mussels as appetisers.....main menu woud be cold crabs and wanton soup with herbal mmutton soup....and then fer seconds....i would like lots of masjhed potatoes,roas t beef,bacon and deep fried tempura pawns
and for third servings,,,i want beef rendang with rice and all spicy asian food from all ova south east asia....
and for 4th servings i want cold crabs and fresh oysters with lemon rind
and for 5th servings i want clam chowder soup and cold cuts
ok...after eating i would then consi9der bout gambling......

The really rich would gamble in Vegas...why would you go to Singapore to gamble anyway if you could go to Vegas....the not so rich would gamble in Singapore but only gamble little money. We'll see another blunder from the clowns in the government. It's a circus after all

Though I am not in favour of building casinos but I doubt casinos will fail.
Casinos will churn out more revenue for the govt. Casinos will not go bankrupt
