You don't need to be one to know how to save. What 'fail-proof' methods do you need for savings other than just knowing how to put money into savings account every month?
The purpose of the post is to remind you that you told me that my ambition was too high to achieve within my first 1.5 years of work and I should be more down-to-earth. But I have achieved it and moving towards the next target now. There's no need to tell you my plans moving forward. Wealth creation depends on many factors, from governing policies, to environment, to location, personal risk factors, foresight etc etc and with a bit of luck added. It is not entirely the govt responsibilites, the govt can provide you the space, the skill and education, the condition and the opportunity, but if you are not shrew in business, nerdy in approach and alway contented with a wage earning life that cannot get rich nor get poor but stuck in between which most typical singaporeans are, then you blame no one for not creating wealth for you. Beside the govt already create wealth for the Y gen by their earlier policies of productivity, saving, investment opportunity and good wages in the 70s and 80s for the Y gen parents, who works like mad dogs and end up the Y gen gaining from it. So, to me, like my Dad left a sum and asset for me, he struggled and toll thru all his life, save and save, now old already, i just walk over and take it, so if you said govt failed to create wealth for the Y gen, i think that is not true.
Alot of these oldies from the 70 and 80s are still saving like crazy, even at 60 and 70++ they still want to earn and save, just like most of our govt peoples do, but you cannot take that along in your coffin.
