Is the Public Assistance scheme adequate for elderly folks?

Definitely NO. Look at the cost of living in Sg today, even people earning $1K per month are struggling. It is a shame of our leaders to earn millions but support those on PA @$360 p.m. Where is the human compassion? Where are the values that our leaders talked so much about? Are we not in the first world economy? For goodness sake, we are in the 21st century, give PA according to the current cost of living. I think our civil societies should press the govt. in a peaceful means, to do more for those on PA and others in need of help.

The issue here is Public Assistance, dun mix with Civil servant Paid, that is their rights,
PA is not a big issue in Singapore, but it will become an issue if we keep pampering it, be $180 or 360, it is the public assistance, that include you and me and everyone else assisting them, and if you are not successful in life, too bad, yes, you can blame the society, but you hv to at least reserve 80% of the blame on yourself. As you sow, it shall reap, during your young time, you drink, eat anyhow, smoke, dun study, enjoy life and have sex here and there, never care about the future, never exercise and take health care, then now you get diabetes, low paid, pain here and there, fat fat crying, complaining here and there, dun care about their own childrens, so old already childrens also dun care about them, do you think you dun have to answer for yourself.
Anyway, our people living in such condition are not alots, thanks God, most Singaporeans are able to survive and think for themselves, but of course in any society there are such people who end up in such condition, ours is consider few. As govt use to say, we can only give the fishing rod, you cannot fish for you anymore, and beside a PA of $360 cash, there are many subsidies for these people too, insitutions, such as health, RC, towncouncil, cooperatives..Chinese Chamber, Sinda, Merdaki etc etc...will help them too.
We dun want Singaporean to become a over dependent on PA, if we will increase to $1200, most will become lazy bum and apply for it.

If the "PA is not a big issue in Singapore" - how does the Taiwanese 'hum' intend not to "keep pampering it" ?
It is typical of the Taiwanese 'hum' to create something out of nothing, and to expand its ignorance from nothing into something that is as big as it had started with its original ignorance.
Is there any relevance for a Taiwanese 'hum' to comment or to tell how Singaporeans on PA should or should not be ?
It takes a lazy bum in a Taiwanese 'hum' to spread itself in the easy flesh trade at night or day and will dare to comment on those who not participate in its desperate morales.
Or is this nothing more then a charade by a Taiwanese 'hum' to seek attention to its own needs as an "Attention Seeking Whore" in this Speaker's Corner to get its daily orgasmic fix ?
