Does new rich do charity?

Ok ok..it seems like there are quite a few millionaires here ourlower tax rate here make up our smaller domestic market demand but they are there...
Are they doing more for sg community? If the rich gets richer and the poor here goes no where's our future headed?
An Australian Secret millionaire shows that one can prosper and do good in their own ways..they do not mind being in the limelight too SG young millionaires take heed:)

I notice recently, TV charity events are making a comeback.
Now they are even branching out to selling lego bricks.

WAO have been advertising in every time slot and every channel.
The campaign was initially raising funds for community bonding with the new citizens.
Strange enough, it was transformed into helping people affected by the recession.
I am not against helping people affecting by the recession.
But, the money raised by the prata man charity should be able to share with the rest of the charity.
All the money used for paying the cooperate and telco and media company can be saved.
Or is it just another exercise to rob the poor and save the rich.
